Daggers Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 Drunkens not the word. You're still pissed! I'm not going to be happy until I get hauled up into a midtable position. Three out of ten be bolloxed!

No chance Bob, you'll take your three and smile. Your a poor mans Stephen Hughes. It was you that gave Andy Johnson 9/10 wasn't it?

Ric Flair Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Logan 7 - Couldn't do anything about either goal really. Made some important saves and was very vocal and commanding during the closing stages especially when they had 4 corners on the spin and we only had 9 men on the pitch at that point. I also noticed he's trying to throw the ball out to the full-backs much more than Henderson does, which may lead to the hoofs being kept to a minimum. Kenton 6 - Was fairly steady as always. Still think if Nils is going to play then we need a full-back who can get forward on the other flank and that has to be Stearman. McCarthy 7 - Demanding to come back on when his face was caved in sums up his determination and desire to succeed. Thought he was excellent and snuffed Wright-Phillips out. McAuley 7 - Very impressed with him on saturday. Looks like a mixture of Matt Heath and Jonathan Wilkes but plays thankfully like neither of them. Great in the air and was composed on the deck. Bailed Nils out a few times. Nils-Eric 5 - What was he doing during that 5 minute spell at the end of the first half? Soton had 3 decent chances from that side and scored at the third attempt. Looked better going forward on saturday than he did defensively, which confused me. Perhaps he's fancying himself as a Scandanavian Roberto Carlos. It doesn't help when Tiatto is in front of Nils as neither keep their position that often. Low 5 - Fairly crap. Can't work out whether he's really poor or just mis-understood. There are worse players in our squad than him but he's probably not quite Championship standard. Williams 8 - When Williams plays like this you realise how good he is and just wish he would do it more often. He was demanding the ball and making sure we passed the ball about. Got stuck in and twice nearly broke clear due to closing down the midfield and defence. We've missed him. Johnson 6 - Was fairly steady, got stuck in and helped win the battle. I still think Wesolowski and Williams should be the preferred choice and if both are on form then our midfield problems would disappear. Tiatto 5 - Had a shocking game yet, but is now becoming the lucky omen. When he starts we seem to be picking up points, left, right and centre. Even if he does his best to try and lose us the match. That crazy back pass near the end could have cost us the win and if McCarthy was on the pitch when that happened I think he would have floored the dwarfed Australian. Welsh or Porter in please. Hume 9* - On his day, he's dynamite. He was on form and was pure class. Hammond 5 - Dreadful. Please see other threads for my thoughts on his performance. He's clueless and worse in the air than Mark de Vries in greasy wellies. Subs: Stearman 6 - Got a great scoring record for a defender. We need his attacking instincts more often. Hughes 4 - Worse than Low.
