Stick Welsh on the left and Porter in the middle.

Outrageous change, probably unlikely.

Porter will struggle to get on the pitch now, with Tiatto being part of a winning side and Welsh coming in. I should imagine Williams and Johnson will be cermented into the middle for awhile now as well.

This is a very smart move. It shows that RK is on the ball with what needs to be done to strengthen the side's weaknesses. Since he has played for us before he should just fall right into place. Like bric-a-brac ;)

I wonder whether this will be followed by loaning Maybury to Sunderland?

Don't think so. With Johansson doubtful for tomorrow night ( :) ) we will need to keep the defenders we have.

Probably, as long as they stay fit...

This signing has annoyed me.

1) Because Levi (wonderkid  ) Porter will move down the pecking order.

2) Becuase Welsh looked shite when he came here before.

We could have done with a right winger tbh but i think we could use welsh quite well.

Porter can play on the right as can Welsh. Obviously both are natural left wingers but Porter has played on the right alot during his time with the academy and England youths.

exactly lol I meant a Natural right sided player....at least we have some players that can play in more than one place :P

it's allright saying we need to fill this position and that position, but loan players don't grow on trees.

it's a case of taking what you can get, welsh has become available and we need a bit more cover. if an out and out right winger or striker was available i'm sure we would take that opportunity, but it clearly hasn't.

Completely underwhelmed. Don't think it's what we need at all and if the money is there for him it could have been better spent, but I hope he does well.

Ditto.

I know wingers are often classed amongst the 'forwards' as they are mainly attacking players, however we still need someone who can score, and Welsh isn't that person.

I agree and he's miles better than either Tiatto or Welsh. But others get in who don't deserve to so why should anyone be surprised?.

i'm happy with that but i don't like how they are calling him a forward surely he is not bought in

to replace fryatt i thought he was a winger, they better be bringing in a striker aswell.

Oihhh and ddnt I find ever so strange....Damn

I'd agree Hammond wasn't a pretty sight but he caused havoc and played quite an important part, directly assisting with one of the goals.

i think he is a very good signing he can give the service from the wings that porter and low arent providing and with williams also providing the service through the centre of the park then leeds could be in for another thrashing with hume going into the game with confidence and hopefully o'grady in ahead of hammond

I think elvis is on form at the moment and so should humey so why change things even if matty fryatt wasnt injured

:D

It must be a frightening sight to see him off form then.

He actually is on form as he is scoring goals. Birmingham, Hereford and a closed door game. I think he isnt good enough for leicester but he does try

Be fair Ric, he did score his annual goal in the game before last. All things being relative, Elvis is on fire at the moment.

It's a small straw to grasp but Hammond's played two houirs of football for us in the last two games during which we've netted four times and he's scored 1 and made 1. We also scored three when he played against Ipswich. So seven goals in those two and a bit matches. In the other eight games we scored twice!!!!!

Hammond's pace is important to us right now.

Nah fair play, in all honesty he deserves his place at the moment and if we carry on getting results like the last two, I don't care who plays.

Is anyone else concerned that Kelly doesn't seem to know where to look when it comes to signings. We were supposed to be on the lookout for a striker, we've obviously failed and ended up bringing in a player who was here last season, who isn't a striker and was pretty average overall, perhaps just about equal to Porter when it comes to an attacking threat. He's not even got the right side of midfield that needs strengthening. Both sides are indeed horrible but we have the option of a League 2 winger and a central midfielder who quite frankly doesn't look anything like a footballer to me anymore for selection at right wing.

This signing doesn't mean the end of Tiatto, he will start on Tuesday, mark my words. Welsh will be a sub and Porter will most likely be left out the 16. Unless either of them are much use on the right, still it's not their natural position. Gradel.
