lcfc_jme Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 This thread is turning into a bigger farce than the word association thread or the painting by numbers thrread If you think this page is bad you should read some of the suggestions from TPH and Fez in previous pages on this thread... Now they are farcical. As it stands this thread is bastante reasonable. Brad Pitt Sharon Stone The cast of Lost Georgie Thompson El Tel Richard Keys Ali G innit Earthworm Jim (oh and Marcus Bent, Joey G, Shota Arveladze and a young lad from United)
Leonisco Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 I think he's already been mentioned somewhere on this thread; Will Hoskins from Rotherham. Scored against Forest yesterday.
Collymore Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 just been watching some old leicester vids and i can't believe how good Marcus Bent was for us. Is he still at Charlton? Is he getting regular fotball? I say resign him, he'd destroy this league.
Muz Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 just been watching some old leicester vids and i can't believe how good Marcus Bent was for us. Is he still at Charlton? Is he getting regular fotball? I say resign him, he'd destroy this league. I thought about him earlier when I was watchin' goals on sunday. If I remember correctly he was going to go to Brum for 500k earlier on in the season but it fell through for some reason. He would be an awesome signing. He was probably my fave player the season he was here As for players we should go for when he have some dosh. Derek Riordan Bryan Hughes Marcus Bent Billy Sharp Leon Britton Or even Gary Roberts thats on loan at Ipswich from Accrington , watched him today and he looked very good. Duno if we could prise him away or If the deal is a permanent one come Jan?
Mort Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 I thought about him earlier when I was watchin' goals on sunday. If I remember correctly he was going to go to Brum for 500k earlier on in the season but it fell through for some reason. I thought of Bent as well, Marcus that is not Darren (well... no yet at least )... an experianced, creative striker could be very good to go up front with Hume, Fryatt and Hammond as fall back (letting Fryatt get fit and hungry for it again...), but the biggest priority has to be midfield we need solid wingers for both the right and left and we need a creative, attacking midfeild player... My thoughts would be Izzet (not coz of his brother... but coz he's been a good winger for Colchester), Bent (as you say), Julian Gray, McAnuff (could we strech to him?)... but the biggest target must be that creative midfielder (to be honest the player we've been missing since Muzzy left) any thoughts? Richard Chaplow? Stephen Ireland?

Mort Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Would be realistic to bring back Joey? or would it be better to get somone like Hendrie or Chaplow? for that CM/AM "playmaker" role?

Daggers Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Some of those miserable Goth-kids that hang around shopping centres and graveyards on Saturdays. They piss me off so they're bound to unsettle some Championship defenses.
Mort Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Some good suggestions there, especially the likes of Julian Gray and Richard Chaplow ...ta they would also probably be within our reach as well, with any luck... though i do like the idea of an Izzet in a city shirt again, whats more i think he'd be a good buy.
Joe. Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 How about Ifill from Sheff U? Last time I saw him he seemed to be a very good player and is just what we are looking for really. A decent winger. Read in the NOTW today that Sheff U would probably let him go for around 500k. Seems a good idea to me

Stevosevic Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 I am worried that Kelly wont have the ambition to go for players with a bit of quality. or play a system that would suit them

Mort Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 I am worried that Kelly wont have the ambition to go for players with a bit of quality. or play a system that would suit them Probably the very reason RK either gets booted out first off or a director of football comes in and basically eddges RK out with a new manager emerging in due course.
Daggers Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 This is the kind of transfer all of us flask-owning fans need...something to make us temporarily harder:
Daggers Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 I think we should use some money to employ some full-time clowns so that whenever something looks as though it's going pear-shaped we'll have someone in-house to blame. Oh, hang on, I think I've been beaten to this idea already
