The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Christ! Now that WOULD be a signing! :pinch:
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Now that WOULD be a signing! :pinch: I think it'd be a clever acquisition. What better way to symbolise our revival from the dead? Besides, I'm sure he was playing full-back for Southampton at the Walkers a few weeks back.

Besides, I'm sure he was playing full-back for Southampton at the Walkers a few weeks back. Yeah, he's sold out though. I mean, where were his sandals? 2 points as well... If that really was Christ: a) .. and he wanted to be a football, you'd have thought he'd be a good one. b) if you could turn water to wine and had a tap in your house, would you be playing football for southampton? I wouldn't.

The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Sorry - impossible. Would you accept Lewinski?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Sorry - impossible. Would you accept Lewinski? Done and done. I get the feeling she'd leave a stain on my (already vastly tarnished) reputation though.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 No stain, no gain. It's ok, I'm Jesus. I'm turning my knob into a bottle of Cillit Bang.
Daggers Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 I don't think having players that can walk on water is a very good thing, unless they have a fear of flying to European games. I think it would be better to have players that can fly, turn invisible and project force fields.
Ultra Posted 30 October 2006 Posted 30 October 2006 Why would they bother, when Mandy would be around to do all that for them?
josh_baskin Posted 31 October 2006 Posted 31 October 2006 Pete from Big brother!! or better still the club could fork out for radical new treatment to get muzzy izzet mended!
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 31 October 2006 Author Posted 31 October 2006 John Major Ted Heath Margaret Thatcher Tony Blair Lloyd George Oh, sorry, wrong thread, thought this was past and present prime ministers...

Mort Posted 31 October 2006 Posted 31 October 2006 Some ideas... Hendrie Loan or buy from Villa. Marlon Harewood Loan from West Ham (they need to keep their strikers fit and they can play them all). Jobi McAnuff Buy from Palace (he can play on the right or left and his an excellent attacking player). Marcus Bent Buy from Charlton (only if we couldnt get Harewood or a better experianced striker). Greg Halford Buy from Colchester (can, pretty much, fill in any piont on the right of the field). Our defence is fairly decent, we’ve got a deep bench and a godd mix of competent, experienced player at the back, as well as Logan and Hendo to fill in, in goal… our biggest problem area is the midfield and, to a lesser extent, our strikers. In the midfield you would need to bring in players who could act as aggressive play makers in the centre of the park and also strong, fast player who could command the wings… hence the suggestion of Hendrie, McAnuff and (to a lesser extent Halford). I’d also argue that our strike force would probably need strengthening with the addition of an experienced forward or “out&out†striker, probably on loan, for that I’d suggest (in a perfect world) Harewood from WestHam or (more realistically) someone like Marcus Bent… failing that a young player who’s not getting games in the top flight but needs the experience and has the talent and class to see them though despite being a younger player (dare I suggest… Jérémie Aliadière? Or perhaps more realistically James Vaughan ). So beyond 2-3 players for the midfield and, perhaps, an experienced striker… I’m not sure you’d need a massive overall to make the club capable of beating any team in this division. …giving a potential first 11 of… Hume* ‘Harewood’ Tiatto/Welsh Hendrie Weso McAnuff Sheehan/Nissa Kisnorbo McAuley Stearman Logan Subs; Hendo, Kenton, Nissa/Sheehan, Williams, Halford, Fryatt* *-Some competition could well be the incentive Fryatt needs to find his form.

Erm. I think you've mistaken this for a serious thread.
Mort Posted 31 October 2006 Posted 31 October 2006 Erm. I think you've mistaken this for a serious thread. Sorry... i forgot to mention Morton Gamst Pedersen from Blackburn... ...I'm sure we could convince him, well Uncle Milan could... no more worries about the left wing after that.

You appear to be confused. If Mandaric buys us, we do not turn into Inter Milan.
