eaststandtom Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 stick with the youngsters. maybe a couple of players. no need to spend cash for the sake of it
blue blood Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 sadebe, big, strong, good in the air, good on the deck - something we dont have
bold_fox Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 stick with the youngsters. maybe a couple of players. no need to spend cash for the sake of it but the youngster aren't good enough to get out of this division !!! and even if they did, then they wouldnt be good enough for the prem. We have to spend money to get us out of this div otherwise we're buggered !!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Thought i'd get a list gonig of the sort of players we could/should be looking at attracting to the club if/when the planned takeover goes through..... Aliadiere one of the Man U youngsters on load - jones, Barnes, Titus Bramble ? ? ? defo worth a gamble is this league. Luke Varney - love to see him playing for us Robbie Fowler - still got a good couple of years in him ? Discus - Oh Dear, Robbie Fowler's back.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 1 November 2006 Author Posted 1 November 2006 Billy Sharp Billy Jones Jason Koumas Greg Halford .......... Sven Goran Errikson....
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Obviously you get the usual guff with things like this but it's nice to see names that we have been linked with before - who would be excellent players at this level - that we haven't been able to afford before. If this all comes off we can get in one or two of this type of player and that could be the difference - arguably all it could take is one midfielder, one striker of real quality and we will be laughing.
Fox in a Box Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Calm down ay lads, we are a long way off anything being concrete yet. Apart from concrete!.......
davieG Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Well if MON thinks there are some gems hiding in the Football league who are we to argue with him. I certainly don't think we should be paying over the top fees for players to clubs that don't want to sell.
Joe. Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 I wonder actually how much money we would get from him to buy players with? It seems like it could actually be happening now he's placed a formal bid
Monk Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Can we not buy some Pompey players, just to piss their fans off even more? I wouldnt mind a Toderov - Hume partnership!!
lcfc_jme Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 I think we should sign: Chris Waddle Sid Waddell Phil Taylor Andy "Pie Man" Smith (who looked like he was sat with the Stoke fans yesterday ) Borat davieG Frank Gallagher Queen Latifah All of these would be within Milan Mandaric's price range and would add great spice to our team Seriously though, if we're buying from the football league (which is the only place we'd be able to pick up players atm) then spending no more than £2million on a player is immense. We could pick up some great deals for less money than that
Ric Flair Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 sadebe, big, strong, good in the air, good on the deck - something we dont have I hope you are joking, if not. Off you go..................
Daggers Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Madonna and her little stolen baby boy ~ they'd pack the crowds in
Bert Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 I'm more bothered about the players that'd stay at the club and those on my list would be - Logan Stearman Paddy Mac Kisnorbo Williams Weso Porter Hume Fryatt
Master Fox Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 I'm more bothered about the players that'd stay at the club anfd those on my list would be - Logan Stearman Paddy Mac Kisnorbo Williams Weso Porter Hume Fryatt No Elvis???
Daggers Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Logan Stearman Paddy Mac Kisnorbo Williams Weso Porter Hume Fryatt I think we can do better than Williams...and the rest now have something to really apply themselves for. One or two I would shove on a doubtful list ~ and Weso would be at the top of it. For all his talent, if he can't start being fit for any length of time then he has to be surplus to requirements?

woznotwos Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 Richard Spearing with backpack containing drinking tube for his beer,,that'd be the left back position solved !!!!!!!...aaahhh,those locks of curly hair .what a ladies man...

What ave I told you about taking them stupid pills. Williams is probabley the most talanted midfielder, if not player at the club. And Weso is young lad the amount of knocks he recieves will reduce with age. They are the last players we should be looking to shift on.

I don't have to take them, I was dropped in a vat of the potion as a baby. Williams has not produced this season, IMHO, and Weso is always injured...keep them if you want but unless they shape up over the rest of this season I see no reason to keep them. What point is there to being talented if you don't do anything on the pitch?

Another great smilie I reckon you'd just lower your own value so that MM could afford you, 'cos I know how much you wana help the club out You don't come cheap but you would come to Leicester regardless
