MON Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 yes Walker, Conoly. and.... errr Keown and.... nope, no one else. Maybe gillespie. That is 3 But good post
filbertway Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 when he plays, tiatto, walker, taylor, conolly and stewart
filbertway Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 You can bet as soon as he leaves us (stewart this is) he will be the best left winger in england
Bert Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 Blake.................Makin..............Gemmill on a serious note i would have to say: Connolly Stewart Walker Tiatto Williams (the guy is our best midfielder IMO)
Guest Daniel Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 Williams? He's done everything so im sure we'd miss him... Same as the other shit Forest gave us.
SilverFox Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 I'd miss Connolly's effort. Wish he could get back to his old scoring ways!
davieG Posted 30 December 2004 Author Posted 30 December 2004 Well you've nearly managed a team between you given that some can think of more than one. Walker/Taylor ?????? ???????? Keown Stewart Gillespie, Williams Nalis Tiatto ??????? Connolly Can't see that team performing much better than we currently do even if we had the 3 additions. Midfield looks as week as it usually is.
SilverFox Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 Don't know how everyone else feels, but given the choise I would have Ian Walker over Taylor, any and everyday of the week. Walker is the superior keeper IMO. I think we need a hard tackling leader in the middle of the park and one midfielder who has a bit of creativity. I'd be happy for Williams to fill the creative role, but aside from Dawson there is no one else. Nalis and Gemmill don't do it for me. I miss Billy Mac, or even Freund. We would be much stronger if we had someone to win the ball and get it to a player like Williams who can make a clever pass to the forwards. The problem with us lately is that we are far too predictable, every team that plays us can see whats coming next because we are not inventive. Get that midfielder in and we could be a good side. Just need to be rid of slowcroft. Bugger isn't it?!
filbertway Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 walker is probably currently the better keeper but when taylor has time ahead of him. If i had the choice of either for the next 2 years it would be walker. But i think taylor will improve alot.
Anish Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 Tiatto, Stewart, Connolly, Nalis. 50429[/snapback] My sentiments exactly
Scow Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 I couldn't care about anyone really. I like Tiatto, but he's rarely available. Same applies to Keown. Nalis has been one of our better players this season, but seems to be off the pace in a number of games. Connolly's work rate and movement is something that we would miss, but his goalscoring record is nothing short of woeful. Stewart has played well recently, but he's been crap a lot of time before then, especially with his attitude problem. Problem is with us fans is that we don't have many players that we can identify with. Over the past few season's, we've seen massive turnovers, 15 in, 15 out. And some people moan about our atmopshere, no wonder it's shite when see all sorts of players wearing the blue shirt without any passion or committment.
SilverFox Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 Agreed, I can't think of a single player who has a song that the fans actually sing. We just don't identify with them. They haven't shown a willingness to die for the cause in the way that we as LCFC fans are used to. Where is the next Walsh going to come from. No heros! And if there is no one at the club passionate about being there, it doesn't gee up everyone else. Its a sad state of affairs.
Louise Posted 30 December 2004 Posted 30 December 2004 Stearman and Dawson And I suppose Tiatto, Connolly, Stewart and Walker.
