The police did say they were worried about another missing girl but not much more has been said about it as yet.
Milky Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 i think a policeman/women should dress up as a pro as a trap. That should get the bastard.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 i think a policeman/women should dress up as a pro as a trap. That should get the bastard. hmm normal curb crawlers would more than likely pick her up and then what? And when exactly do you know he's your man? after he's strangled the under cover officer? Very risky
Ric Flair Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 i think a policeman/women should dress up as a pro as a trap. That should get the bastard. Or it will be another person dead. If someone from the old bill died in this case, it would be the biggest murder case in living memory and there would be an uproar.
Head Honcho Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 A horrific story, I just hope this guy is found and is found quickly So it's a guy then!
Louise Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 This whole story makes me feel physically sick (as do most news stories of this kind) whenever I hear a new development. Is this just one person, is it a gang or related to organised crime? Not trying to rival anyone for extreme speculation or scaremongering, it could just be one person (heard an expert on the news saying escaped mental patient this morning) and that is easier to accept in a way for the public, but in an area involved with crime and drugs, could this just be part of a wider problem?
Deathside Posted 13 December 2006 Posted 13 December 2006 these girls are very vulnerable and to have such a tragic end to a sad and miserable life is nothing I would wish on anyone. Miserable life - I thought people on drugs were happy?
Matt Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Detectives have arrested a man today on suspicion of murdering five prostitutes in Suffolk. The 37-year-old was arrested at his home in Trimley, near Felixstowe, at 7.20am. He is in custody at a police station in Suffolk and will be questioned later. Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull said: "He has been arrested on the suspicion of murdering all five women - Gemma Adams, Tania Nicol, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls." Mr Gull read out the short statement at Suffolk Police Headquarters and refused to take any questions about the investigation. He did not name the man arrested, nor did he give details of the police station where he is being held. He said: "As legal proceedings are now active, Suffolk police will not be issuing any further comments or appeals at this stage." Hopefully thats the bastard who's done it.

john_lcfc Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Man held over prostitute murders Tom Stephens was arrested at his home in Trimley St Martin A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering five women whose bodies were found at sites around the Ipswich area. Supermarket worker Tom Stephens was arrested by police at his home at Trimley St Martin, near Felixstowe. He is being held on suspicion of murdering prostitutes Gemma Adams, Anneli Alderton, Tania Nicol, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls. Mr Stephens is in custody at an unnamed police station in Suffolk. Items removed He is due to be questioned by detectives later on Monday. The house, in Jubilee Close, Trimley St Martin had been visited by police earlier in the investigation and items had been taken away for examination. Det Ch Supt Stewart Gull said: "We will not be naming the police station where the man is being held. "As legal proceedings are now active, Suffolk Police will not be issuing further comments or appeals at this stage." The five dead women, aged between 19 and 29, were all found naked in rural settings within 10 miles of Ipswich. They all worked as prostitutes, were drug-users and their bodies were found close to the A14 road. The body of Miss Adams, 25, who went missing on 15 November, was found in a brook at Hintlesham, Suffolk, by a member of the public on 2 December. Tania Nicol's body was found by police divers searching areas of water at Copdock Mill, near Ipswich, on 8 December 8. Miss Nicol, 19, was last seen after leaving her home in Ipswich on 30 October. The body of Anneli Alderton, 24, was found in woodland in Nacton, near Ipswich, on 10 December. On 12 December detectives found the bodies of Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29, near the village of Levington. Unprecedented investigation Mr Stephens was arrested at 0720 GMT on Monday in the village, which is close to the A14 road between Ipswich and Felixstowe. The village of Trimley St Martin was last in the national news when 17-year-old Vicky Hall vanished on her way home from a nightclub in Felixstowe in 1999 and was found dead in a water-filled ditch at Creeting St Peter - 25 miles from Felixstowe. It was believed she had been asphyxiated but a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive. Police have not linked this case with the deaths of the five prostitutes. On Monday they were unable to confirm Mr Stephens would be questioned about Miss Hall's murder. The deaths of the five sex workers prompted a murder investigation on an unprecedented scale in recent British history, with officers receiving a large amount of potential evidence and thousands of calls from the public. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/suffolk/6189409.stm latest news!!! feel sorry for him if its not him.. releasing his name n all that

Suffolk_fox Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Well I have read that report, and I don't think it is him, but the police have to investigate him as a matter of course. If indeed he is innocent, I feel sorry for him, as he is a loner and after this things will never be the same for him.
Babylon Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Well I have read that report, and I don't think it is him, but the police have to investigate him as a matter of course. If indeed he is innocent, I feel sorry for him, as he is a loner and after this things will never be the same for him. He fitted the profile of the killer exactly, seemed extremely unstable, he also had opportunity to do these things and said he has no alibi. Doesn't mean he is guilty but all came across as VERY strange to me, i'm not surprised he is number one suspect. Seemed way too keen to come out and distance himself, without any real reason. Only a handful of local people would have known his identity.
Suffolk_fox Posted 18 December 2006 Posted 18 December 2006 Anneli Alderton was last seen getting into a dark BMW car with a rather large gentleman by some of the other girls - she was never seen again by anyone. I believe this bloke is just a bit part player, the same as the 'Yorkshire Ripper' Faker' who was recently jailed.
