Anish Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 That's why Kirkland should be in the England set up ahead of Carson. Exactly. Carson is sh it.
Tilley Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Portsmouth 3 Crouch Defoe Davis Blackburn 2 Derbyshire Tugay Tottenham 0 Everton 1 Pienaar Few minutes left in both.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Van Persie's reaction after his second strike. A tad gay methinks.
FilboFox Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Should Ronaldo have gone for that? I guess by the book he should have but it's a tad harsh...
Sparky Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Should Ronaldo have gone for that?I guess by the book he should have but it's a tad harsh... I dont think Webb has any alternative really , feel for him if he has heard a whistle but you cant really get away with that . His 1st yellow card was harsh also
lildave3 Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Shocking from Pompey, why would you give Tugay that much space? We all know he can hit them.
Anish Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 Ronaldo had to go. Everyone wants refs to be consistent and the only way of doing that is by applying the strict letter of the law. It was harsh but the ref was in a no-win situation - if he took the common sense approach everyone would slate him for not sending off Ronaldo. Tony Adams just doesn't have the body language of a top flight manager - he's so flat, monotone and dull in his interviews I doubt he'd be able to motivate the players.

Referees aren't consistent whether people would like them to be or not and they're not going to be consistent. I don't know why Ronaldo even got booked for his tackle cos if that was a booking Scholes would never get through a single match if there was such a thing as consistency. As for his handball why the hell would Ronaldo, shaping up for a good chance of a headed goal, suddenly put both hands to the ball if he hadn't heard a whistle? The referee should have realised something peculiar had happened. But no Ronaldo gets sent off and the thug who fractured Hume's skull got a booking. Exactly where is the consistency in that? Or. more important, the sense of pespective?

Sparky Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 Kinnear has book thrown at him by FA for comments against a referee Chris Morgan has no charge to answer for fracturing Humes skull FA = MORONS
Koke Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 Ronaldo was a bit daft. You shoot/head the ball fist, then ask questions later. So what if he heard a whistle. What a silly excuse to handball it.

What a silly excuse to handball it. If he had half-brain as well, he'd know Webb was going to get out the red card for any hint of a second offence after his reaction to the first yellow card. I thought the first booking was full deserved, dirty little trip. As soon as Ronaldo did the sarcastic applauds trick, Webb was looking for an excuse.

If people like Webb ar going to be so small minded they should feck off from football. And if he'd had the good grace to listen to say before responding to the baying crowd he might have been in a better position to make the right decision.
CosbehFox Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 If people like Webb ar going to be so small minded they should feck off from football. Personally I believe all refs will hold something against you, if you get on their wrong side in a game. It's the psychology of a normal person.
BoneHead. Posted 6 December 2008 Posted 6 December 2008 How cruel for Sunderland. Lucky United as ever.
Corky Posted 6 December 2008 Posted 6 December 2008 Lucky United as ever. I suppose you could say the same about us on a couple of occasions this season. It would be hypocritical of me to slate Man Utd for doing the same.
syston_fox Posted 6 December 2008 Posted 6 December 2008 Geovanni - brilliant free kicks. Wank in the air!
Corky Posted 6 December 2008 Posted 6 December 2008 Michael Owen's finishing reminds me of Matty Fryatt
Corky Posted 6 December 2008 Posted 6 December 2008 I'm not surprised Kinnear had a go at the linesman. That decision was so soft.
