Shrenchel Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Where's Adrian Chiles? I know, he looks like a steamy mug of piss but I still miss him. She goes hard upfont but can't really carry off the whole light-hearted MOTD2 thing.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Kalinic will fail epicly in the Premier League. He was signed from Hajduk Split, who are pretty shite  and it will be a MASSIVE step-up as they haven't even played in any European competitions of late. Tch! Tch! Tch blood brother! How dare you speak ill of the hero of our 'friends' next door! I too would indulge in a bit of gloating at the 'bad luck' of the object of our mutual loathing were it not for one Al Gory inconvenient truth - I 'recommended' the hapless debutante (my guide fee was correct to one gazillionth of a pound sterling)! Our choking Croat was only guilty of trying a little too hard. If Alex Ferguson can perservere with a striker who bottles every one on one he finds himself in, Fat Sam will do the same with a player whose considerable talent is tarnished by his unfortunate ethnicity ('accident of birth pah! it's written in the stars ) Kalinic undoubtedly will come good. Ironically for you sniggerers the date set for his rehabilitation is September 8th 2009
CosbehFox Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Ironically for you sniggerers the date set for his rehabilitation is September 8th 2009 So he's still in the Under 21's squad then?
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Stone wall pen for Arsenal, it would have been awarded to Man u in about 0.0000001 seconds.
lildave3 Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Stone wall pen for Arsenal, it would have been awarded to Man u in about 0.0000001 seconds. In real time, it looked like he got the ball. I can understand why it wasn't given.
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 In real time, it looked like he got the ball. I can understand why it wasn't given. Not for me Arshavin clearly took the ball inside before being completely wiped out.
samlcfc Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 , Eboue launched himself there. subbed straight off.
samlcfc Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Wenger in the crowd ! , that was stupid, he didnt have a clue what to do. Just getting abused from all angles
Ultra Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 United were incredibly lucky. But they still got the points..
samlcfc Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 If that Gerrard shot had gone in at 2-1 I would have made romance explosion haha
Guest Bilo Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 I'm no fan of Cashley Cole, but that was a lovely finish.
lavrentis Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Crazy Stearman scoring then giving an interview.
Fox You Forest Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Crazy Stearman scoring then giving an interview. Also having the biggest left ear in the world. Decent finish though.
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Also having the biggest left ear in the world. Decent finish though. I know that was disgusting it looked like a bat trained perfectly to sit on the side of his head.
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 I'm no fan of Cashley Cole, but that was a lovely finish. This.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 I have just seen some (non BBC) highlights of the Man Utd V Arsenal game. Although perhaps not as cynical as Eduardo's theatrics against Celtic, Rooney clearly started to go down before Almunia made contact with him to earn his team a doubly undeserved penalty. Tell me, was there a debate amongst the studio pundits about this (if not some righteous indignation)? Did anyone refer to Rooney's dive as 'cheating'? More crucially, did anyone suggest that the English FA should look at the TV evidence and that Rooney should be handed a ban similar to Eduardo's? The fact that no one so far on this thread has raised the matter suggests that the ENGLISH man doubly got away with it..
Samilktray Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 I genuinely think Arsenal may go on to win the title, they look quality.
Unabomber Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 I genuinely think Arsenal may go on to win the title, they look quality. I agree with this.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 I genuinely think Arsenal may go on to win the title, they look quality. I would like them to win the title, but unfortunately they won't. They undoubtedly play the best football in the EPL but style alone won't land you trophies. Sad that they have not been able to hang on to their Titans (Viera, Henry, Adebayor) who have seriously undermined league and cup campaigns with their 'wantaway' antics. Wenger must take some of the responsibility for the resulting lapses in form by too publicly trying to hang on to stars that are clearly finished with the shirt. This tactic has also rebounded financially on Arsenal as in each case the offender's market value has dipped. Having said that about Wenger he has the best eye for nascent footballing talent in world football.
Father Ted Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 In real time, it looked like he got the ball. I can understand why it wasn't given. This. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Davis' sending off. Never a sending off, Lucas is a fcuking moron and this won the game for Liverpool. IMO that's cheating and the Ref was bullied into it. It's a shame Davis didn't fooking knock Lucas' lights out after.

The fact that no one so far on this thread has raised the matter suggests that the ENGLISH man doubly got away with it.. Unfortunately, Almunia gave Rooney the excuse. If no contact was made, Rooney would have been castigated just as heavily by the fans and media (although no the FA who seem unable to look at events after a game if the ref has seen it). FIFA, UEFA and the FA need to come up with some consistency on diving. Eboue dived and got a yellow card. Eduardo did the same thing and will get a 2 match ban. Different punishments for the same crime. It's unfortunate the spotlight's fallen on Arsenal when all clubs have players who try and cheat by diving. It's also interesting to note the charge by UEFA against Eduardo of willfully deceiving the ref. We had a discussion the other week about Bristol City doing this when the ref got it wrong against Palace. In my eyes, that was even worse than Eduardo's dive, yet no punishment was brought against the club.
