Floating Fox Posted 5 January 2007 Author Posted 5 January 2007 If you want to do something, you must email him. The more people that tell the club, the better your chances are. Is that your way of lending the support to us then?
Guest Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Is that your way of lending the support to us then? I'm all for atmosphere. Believe it or not. Even with the little one with us, who is also all for atmosphere (when not annoying other posters...... ).
lcfc_jme Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 @ the boys trying to organising this, really don't take any notice of some of the totally negative attitudes on here...yes, there are a great deal of hurdles to overcome, but even if it eventually fails you've wasted your time in a far more productive than just sitting on the internet, moaning about how bad the atmosphere at the walkers is. I'm very suprised that although there's obvious examples of it being established at English football league clubs, people are saying it could never happen to us. It's not like the people in charge of this club are hell bent on killing off all the atmosphere and making match days a misery, they've tried in numerous ways to make the walkers more lively, they just haven't been very good at it. So I don't see why they'd be completely adverse to letting us have a go. I do agree with the concerns over the word 'Ultras' though, I'm not saying it has necessarily been used by hooligan groups in the past but when someone says it to me I do for some reason automatically think of facist Lazio *** tearin up the Olympico We're not going to be put off because a couple of people on an internet forum are saying we've got no chance. To be honest, we were expecting this idea to be shot down by many more people than it has been, so that's making us even more determined to do something with the idea. We don't think the club would be completely against letting us organise something on matchdays either. We just feel there could be a few problems which would need negotiating with the club regarding a few things we'd want to do. The word Ultras will be left out of the email to the club if/when one is sent. We know that the connotations the word has will simply lead the club to clam up on us and not really listen to what we're saying. have you emailed the club yet or are you in the process of doing so? can you post your email to the club and there response if you get one? if the club say no we dont want an ultra group. then i think we should just go ahead with it anyway.lets try to get the clubs backing but if not then screw the club, lets do it and show we are not going to continue sitting in the kop (to you kopites) surrounded by old people, kids and general happy clappers who moan if you stand up for a corner. i think it should be placed in N block or L1 but thats another question whether the club like it or not. we are the fans we want to sing/support our team and at the moment fans are being dictated to and just sitting at many grounds on a saturday in silence. bring back football. Haven't emailed the club ourselves yet putting points across to them. We're waiting to see the amount of support we actually receive before doing so. There are also a few things we need to look at before we email them as well, because suggestions have been made to us and since we want to do this the best way we can, we'll look into the suggestions before acting on it. If we do happen to email the club, then a copy of what we send will either be posted here, on the site or sent to you on request, as will the clubs reply
Fox63 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Here is a thought...I don't know without scanning this entire thread as to whether any body has mentioned this....but here goes....the only reason there is no atmosphere within the Walkers Stadium is because of the crap team we have out on the pitch. A good performance, whether we win lose or draw will get the crowd going. I have seen it..I've heard it. Look at the Villa game. There was a euphoria of hope that spread around the ground. A belief that the impossible could happen...and it almost did...dispite the refs best intentions we were close to going through. When Milan spends his cash, appoints a new manager and when new, better quallity players come to the club it is then and only then that the atmosphere will improve. I hope that this idea becomes more than an idea...I'm sure it will....what ever it manifests into will be an improvement on the current situation. Move L1 and get the South stand going again!!
Joe. Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Colchester here we come!!!! Come on people we really need to give a brilliant atmosphere there and show what we can really do
Fox63 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Just out of interest...of all the people who have made postings on this subject...where do you currently sit? Are you a STH and are you prepared to move to a new block and hope that the ULTRA movement is what you expect? I'm not being negative....just trying to understand. F2...STH for 4 yrs...still trying to gain premium STH status....don't think i'll ever get there!!!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 E3 by choice. Not a STH this season, haven't had one since we were in the Prem last but will probably get one next year due to improved finances. I like the singing aspect of it. Less keen on the wearing blue and waving flags...?

I have a season ticket and I'll move, the reason i sit where I sit is for the atmosphere, whats left of one anyway, but it's the best place for singing apart from L1 in my opinion, so yes I would move E3 by choice. Not a STH this season, haven't had one since we were in the Prem last but will probably get one next year due to improved finances. I like the singing aspect of it. Less keen on the wearing blue and waving flags...? How do you mean wearing blue? I don;t think it really matters, I just wear my Leicester shirt to every game I can, although I'm normally wearing a coatover it anyway And I think the falgs are jsut a few large flags that hang from the back of the stadium or somehitng, not ones on poles.
Floating Fox Posted 5 January 2007 Author Posted 5 January 2007 Anyone want to Suggest any more names than any that have already been mentioned before a poll is set up on our site?
Floating Fox Posted 5 January 2007 Author Posted 5 January 2007 And I think the falgs are jsut a few large flags that hang from the back of the stadium or somehitng, not ones on poles. We want flags of all types. Something LIke these Flags As well as Flags to hang down and Banners to put somewhere.

lcfc_jme Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 You havn't said where you sit!! D2, along with myself, filbertway and Standupandsing. It's more standing up than sitting down though.
Mikey Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 At the moment I sit in the Kop stand. Recently the atmosphere has been very poor. I would love to join this if it means everyone will sing and get behind the team And i sit at the back of E1. Right at the back.

lildave3 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 To L1 or N block? Either L1 or back of the Kop, more than likely back of the kop.

Tommeh Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I'm in L1 currently And have been since last season from January onwards when I moved from E1 in the kop where i sat for a few years as it began to get worse. I probably won't be moving this season but next season provinding the ultras idea takes offf I'd be no doubt joining them
Fox63 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Either L1 or back of the Kop, more than likely back of the kop. Where do you sit currently?
lildave3 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Where do you sit currently? Front of F1, have done since the Walkers opened, but this year a lad that sat behind us who created an atmosphere for us has moved, so now i'm the only one who sings <_<

Floating Fox Posted 5 January 2007 Author Posted 5 January 2007 Where do you sit currently? He sits towards the front of the kop atm
Floating Fox Posted 5 January 2007 Author Posted 5 January 2007 So what will be the difference between L1 and "N block ULTRAS?" Well nothing has been soprted so dont get carried away with the N block idea yet but L1 Has become somwhate a chav hotspot and Also has it's history of small toruble with away fans something the Ultra are trying to avoid.
