Right so we want a load of noisy and probably beered up lads stuck in the family end?

How long until there are complaints about the languange/smoking etc?

Also I didnt think there was any alchol served in there?

Why didnt the club do as was suggested last year and swap the family end over with the Kop? (I personally dont know why they put the kop at the opposite end to the away fans anyway, thats what has killed the atmosphere(nothing to do with the dross on the pitch!))

We moved from the Kop to L1 to try to get some atmosphere.

Cheers

Block N is not part of the Family Stand. It is entirely separate. Block N is under-used and there are few people who sit in this section, which is why it is ripe for this idea. They fully understand the nature of the singing and banter, however look at why the Family Stand have to currently cope with. We are acting as the buffer zone! The club appreciate this and there can be no complaints as we are segregated off. There is a shutter separating the away fans and the Family Stand. It is entirely divided off!

Well done Lads, N1 is in the family stand right next to the Away supporters right ?. I can't really see this hitting it off this season as season tickets holders and such have there own seats but if the one's who don't have ST's and or a block pref can sit in N1 and get an atmosphere together and lead by example for the remaining home games, then maybe it will change others views on where they sit next season.

Good luck with this.

Your joking? What a waste of time.

For all of those that knock our great club and do not say they listen, finally have to eat a very big slice of humble pie.

I was present at the meeting with Jamie and Andy last night who pioneered the idea of a singing section in Block N. Collectively, for 3 weeks we have been in constant dialogue with the club and its representatives. We now have their total and unequivocal support with the proposal and the club could not have been more accommodating and supporting. They equally want to enhance the atmosphere at home games and are equally frustrated at the lacklustre home atmospheres. Block N will be consecrated the new singing section and the Club will be publicising via their website and matchday programme the idea to pledge their support and for it to gain visibility. Hopefully, the idea may even make the Mercury and Leicester Sound, but that is down to their media department and not the club.

We are urging those in The Kop to support the idea and come on board. They are hoping for the idea to be in place for home game against Coventry and this will be made clear in due course. All supporters have to do is buy tickets for this section if they want to be LOUD and PROUD or transfer their season tickets for the game. The club urge that supporters do this before a matchday to avoid lengthy queues. Please respect this!

Remember the club are trialling the idea so that it can be in place for next season so those that want to be part of this have to be pro-active and actually SING! They will be trialling the idea at designated games hopefully as of Coventry. They want new songs to be lauched with the aid now of an "official" club drum and for us to recreate the frenzy of spinning scarfs that are seen at St. James Park when the team scores. The new drum will hopefully be heard in The Kop and played by a member of the group. To be honest, we never thought the club would embrace the idea so wholeheartedly and be so sympathetic to supporter needs. They are caught between a rock and a hard place most times, so i for one, will be rejoicing the names of the main men at our great club. Because they do listen, but you have to stand up to be counted to make yourself heard!

BLUE ARMY!

Sounds to me like the club have twisted it around, sounds like a family orientated initiative, not what was first proposed. Can you imagine L1 being asked to sing the surname of all the players, you'll have Birch running in and out of the N Block with prizes and competitions, 1st prize reading the team sheet out and things like that.

If you look at the ground configuration and stadium plan you will clearly see that Block N is entirely separate from the Family Stand. It may be the confusion over this block that has resulted in so few sitting in this area or considering this idea. Block N has around 800 seats and the club want to cancel out the noise from the away following. It is and will be a great idea! The other option is for the club to extend the away corner, i prefer the former rather than the latter! This propsal has not been ill-considered and it has been pain-stakingly discussed both in the past three weeks and last night. The club want an atmosphere and they are prepared to do what is humanly possible. They even accept that singers will want to stand more than most and feel this is appropriate as long as it is not persistent for 90 minutes!

It will never happen!!!! If you remember what filbo was like with all the coins and fights kicking off, they could never go back to that.

I would also suggest, that anyone taking this opportunity DIDN'T stand for who whole game. If you do I would guarantee the idea gets binned by the club pretty sharpish.

There's only 2 options anyway.

1) You become the club's plaything... as has been suggested - competitions, organised singing the songs they want sung, flags distributed.

2) If 1 is not complied with and you pursue activities like swearing, standing etc, you'll be ejected from stadium.

I'm still not sure why you approached the club at all?

Wasn't disagreeing with you. N block singing is a good idea. Though a drum is awful, the club would use the block as some kind of fun factory, trying out new songs (or worse Paul..... Richard....... Alan........ Patrick..... Paddy....... Steven...... Ian HUUUMMME) Just don't trust the club, they'll make it their own little baby.

If you look on up-to-date ground configurations Block N is grey and separate. I discussed the matter with the club and i am confirming that Block N is separated off and NOT part of the Family Stand. That plan only adds to the confusion!

I again reiteatate what a waste of time. Your gonna to have the people who sing split up into three groups instead of two now. Well done.

FFS will you jokers wake up, it doesn't matter what it is "classed" as , what matters is that the family stand is right next to you within ear shot of you. The complaints will roll in. Why N1 what a stupid idea.

Well done, I'm all for the idea. Are the same ones who are cynical about this the same ones who sit on their hands for 90mins? The ground layout is wrong we all know that. These guys have actually tried to do something about it. It's very easy to sit at your PC saying what the problems are and that things will never change.

Are there any incentives to make fans join the Ultra group? Like free t-shirts with slogans like ‘Member Of The LCFC Ultras – WATCH OUT’ or

‘Bang That Drum It’s Fun – We’re The Ultras’

We approached the club because i am sick and tired of mintaining the staus quo inside the stadium. We all appreciate there is a problem regarding atmosphere as we whinge and gripe, yet remarkably we do nothing about it. I got involved with this idea as i believe in it and i wanted to convince the club. They needed very little convincing. Our argument was pursuasive and very passionate. The club are honest enough to accept what issues this section will present, but they are also honest to accept that with NO atmosphere, a failing team and diminishing crowds they want to make this idea work as they want supporters to enjoy coming to The Walkers and reinstill some Filbo magic.

You've not achieved it, what you've done could potentially make the situation worse by spreading those that want to sing out across the four corners of the ground near enough.

I fully support your effort, but don't wait for the club. I can imagine that they need to have some input due to stewarding costs but thats it. It should start from tomorrow, because as has been stated there is alot of talking, moaning and no action.

I don't think the club's attitude is like that at all.

They have certain laws and directives that they've got to live with - whether they want them or not - and I know they get as frustrated as everyone else at times.

The football industry isn't the only business that has to cope with Health and Safety directives and all sorts of other interference they could do without.

The club didn't seek to "control" anything as such. The impression I got was that they were 100% behind and encouraging of anything that stokes the atmosphere in a positive manner while not compromising anyone's safety etc.

It is a fine balance and if the fans were the administrators and had responsibility for keeping that balance maybe they wouldn't find it so easy themselves.

Ok so tell me this.

How is what we have now any better than what he had before?

There was never anything to stop anyone going in that block and singing.

It's like me ringing the club and buying a ticket for block (insert letter here) and then asking them if I can sing whilst I'm there.

I just don't get how having the club say 'ok' is actually going to make this work or the atmosphere any better.

I'm not anti-trying... just I share Manwell Pablo's thoughts.

It's close to Family Stand. There will be complaints.
