The Stig Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Lets here you're thoghts on him since his return form injury, I haven't really seen him much so can't comment but would like to see what you all think.
isaidno Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Saturday was Johnson's best game in a city shirt. Passed the ball well, scored. Hope he can keep it going.
Wezleylowski Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Lets here you're thoghts on him since his return form injury, I haven't really seen him much so can't comment but would like to see what you all think. depends how much effort he puts in ,if he gives it 100% like the last game then he is definetely worthy of donning the shirt. on the other hand however if he gives it less than 100% then its get your pitch forks time again
Milan Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Two good games on the trot, very well complemented by Jarrett, we must keep Jarrett for rest of season.
The People's Hero Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 He and Jarrett are both playing like we've been told they should be as 'box to box midfielders'. Previously we've been lucky if AJ leaves the centre circle at any point.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Wondered if you thought AJ could be the new Kisnorbo, NOT with regards to position, but suddenly starting to play well ???
bold_fox Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 I agree..... I also think that it isnt all down to him. I think that the players around him suit the way he plays. He can just pass the ball on the Yeates or Porter who will push forward... He cleans up well, chases down the opposition and wins us a lot of posession. On saturday i thought he looked one of our better players.
teblin Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 He looks fit, Won all the loose balls. Best player for both the last 2 home games.
mat_j101 Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 I'm not sure i'd go as far as saying best player, but certainly two decent performances at last. Although I listened to the Ipswich game on the radio and they said he wasnt so great then, but i don't know whether to believe Radio Leicester or not these days!!! I would start him now though, which says it all in my opinion.
mat_j101 Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Yeah i like him. Would definately start him at the moment. Althought i would just like to point out Radio Leicester said he was poor against Ipswich, did anyone go to that match that can confirm/rubbish their comments??
Milky Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 It's a bit early to be talking about a turn around of Kisnorbo proportions. Johnson has a long way to go to match that, afterall it has only been 2 games.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 It's a bit early to be talking about a turn around of Kisnorbo proportions. Johnson has a long way to go to match that, afterall it has only been 2 games. And he was only actually good for half of it.
MC Prussian Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 If only he were like 10 years younger... Oh the joy we'd have...
BartonFox Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Sweet Jesus He is f'cking toilet end of, glad he'll be gone in the summer, right up there with Craig Hignett and Scot Gemmill.
Leonisco Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 He's had two half-decent games, it only seems like he's played well cos people are comparing it to his previous performances, which were frankly pathetic. I voted not good enough for LCFC, although if he carries on improving I'll be happy to take that back.
Fatbloke Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 As the question was "since his return" he has been excellent, but time will tell, he is on a short contract so could, and should be trying to earn another, let`s make hay while the sun shines I say !
Dames Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 He's got 5 games to change my mind tbh. He needs to make up for lost time and fast.
Toby or not Toby Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 i think the fact that williams isn't playing centre mid with johnson has helped him because he was having to do 2 peoples work rate, now jarrett is there he is willing to graft
Wils Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Hes looked a different player in the last few games,He spends alot of the time of the floor though. Gotta moan about something havent i.
Mikey Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 To be honest he did have a good game on Saturday but I still don't think he should be in the starting 11. The subs bench will be good enough for him and be brought on sometimes me thinks.
lookwhaticando Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Still don't think he's good enough. Two good games and about 20 shit ones. Hmmm?
Simi Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 Two good games is not good enough all season. I don't think he will be here next season. Hopefully whoevers in charge will want to bring in some younger people to play in midfield.
holly Posted 19 February 2007 Posted 19 February 2007 thought he did well on sat, but i still dont really rate him his ball distribution is still v dodgy as is jaretts. but i cant knock his performance on sat, if it continues then he should obviously be in the starting 11 if not then possibly sub. however i dont think he should be given a new contract for next season!
