Kelly to go?

Recommended Posts

Bloody hell! Am I the only person who wants to see Rob stay on as manager???

Nope

Obviously everyone feels there's another man who can do better on the limited resources he has had, survived last season with one of the worst squads the club has ever seen and consolodated this season again with no money.

I'm very much in the balance, I think he gets too much critisism, like tonight I think we showed more attacking intent after the 1st half and attempted to play some football, and actually pushed for the win when we could have sat back and been content with point! It did annoy me how he couldn't spot Hughe's totally lack of impact in CM - I would have bought Tiatto on early 2nd half!

I would like to see him make a few inspired signings in the SUmmer and prove some ppl wrong but that's just me - I like ppl to be proved wrong! However, does he have the experience and attitude to be a real winner? I'm not so sure - All i want to see is some real passion from him!

Would definately not sack him now, because I can't see many alternatives! Perhaps if Pearce lost his job or something.

A f'ckn gimp handed baboon could do a better job than Rob Kelly, FFS.

Come on.... Anything has to be better than The Horse at the moment, he was simply woeful!

Elvis was even WORSE tonight!

Neither of them deserve to start on Saturday.

Kelly's gone its just a matter of time when, tomorrow would be fine by me though!

He's just marking time, and so are most of the players. That was evident on Saturday and again tonight.

Mandaric can't allow us to drift along for the rest of the season. He has to act sooner rather than later.

Neither of them deserve to start on Saturday.

It was no coincidence that we started to threaten when Elvis came on.

The fact is, when we play badly, Hammond is a good outlet. And we play badly a hell of a lot. I think we'd have won tonight if he'd started. Horsfield did absolutely nothing. Nothing.

How Horsfield still got in the team after his performances at Southend and Palace, I have no idea.

Kelly seems to have chosen not to bother trying to get Cadamarteri fit.

Part of an increasingly small minority, it must be said.

For........ the.......... last.............time........ he has 12 month rolling contract. This means it is always 12 months long. 12 months from today. !2 months from the summer in the summer. We will have to pay him 12 months salary to go away.

I wouldn't bother Mr. Hat... if you responded like this every time the contract is mentioned, you'll have no need for the Hat before long.

;)

PS: It gets on my tits, too. lol

will he be sacked if we lose ?; will he be knighted if we win two or three on the bounce? ; i suppose the coin is still in the air now, as it is for stuart pearce who was tipped for the england job only a few months ago and now in the same boat as kelly.

the phrase "only as good as your last game " really is true in football today

Ironically, having seen the line-up last night, if Kelly introduced a genuinely attacking midfielder, put the Horse out to stud and installed a genuine fit/fast/strong striker then found an option for Nils, we'd have the balanced side we need to start challenging in this division and to use as the basis for development.

But, my life, how busy will the training ground need to be.

Porter is by far your best dead ball specialist but he needs to do a Shilton and start practising over and beyond the call of duty.

He needs to increase his accuracy and deliver more (not all) his free kicks/corners with more pace. There also needs to be more work done on where people attack those free-kicks and how they move. We are too static and no-one ever attacks the near post. Hume is the most obvious option for that one.

Henderson simply has to be faster throwing the ball out. He's started to think of that option lately but simply doesn't do so quick enough when he gets possession.

Hughes needs to learn to shoot under pressure. He's not like Sylla, it isn't that his technique won't stand up, but he's too concerned about the defenders closing in. He needs to practise under pressure shooting so his mind simply doesn't waver from the aim of keeping the ball down and on target.

Apart from his passing and determination to get in the box Jarrett needs to work harder on his movement off the ball so he instinctively gives passing options to the players around him.

Finally, our throw ins. I've mentioned before we simply have to give ourselves lots more space for these. We simply seem to line up down the wing and try to gain ground like a rugby team using headed flick-ons. Players need to start 35/40 yards from the ball and run into the space they create - even working little crossovers.

We so farely work anything clean from throw ins and are pretty poor at throwing accurately to feet.

That's quite a lot for Kelly to have to achieve in time for the QPR game. I wonder how far he'll get.

Kelly's redoubled the teams effort on the training ground on numerous occassions and I have yet to see any imporvement!!!

I am not doubting that he has done ok on limited resources. But, and my God it is a HUGE but - he is tactically naive. You can bring in the best players you can, but play the wrong tactics and you will get turned over.

I remember with MON, the number of times we came out at half time, different formation, different tactics, and we played a lot better. RK just doesn't seem to have this nous.

I want Kelly to go now, but i'm concerned as to who would take-over in the interim. I hate care-taker managers because they often have a decent spell and the chairman are then tempted to give them the job full-time. This is when the manager is found out to be crap and we have the same scenario again. It's best when a care-taker manager either has a nightmare of the chairman can see past the upturn in results.

There is nobody at the club to takeover as care-taker manager, plus there's not many managers out there available.

I want him gone, but want the right manager to come in. No, bloody interim managers.

Can't we just end the season now?

My feelings exactly, what also pee's me off is that we have alot of crud, fringe players and maybe good youth players, we are relatively safe in this division, why doesn't he give a chance to 'those', so that they may have a chance to fight for there careers at city!!!! Also use this opportunity to 'home' his tactics, test his team ability and try and learn from them!!

He is a goner if we lose tonight, a draw will keep him until the next defeat. Despite MM's best efforts he couldn't help let his anger spil out a little when pressed on Kelly as the show progressed.

While I will celebrate the idiots demise I do not for one moment want us to lose to that toerag Wise.

You can actually spare your "Kelly Out!" rants, because he'll stay until the end of the season.

What happens after that, we'll see.

Maybe they were about a hundred times too bad from the beginning and we've just reached Level Zero again. :rolleyes:lol

I don't rate Kelly. The performances from his teams are uninspiring, spineless, passionless and horrible to watch. His team selections are baffling at times. The tactics aren't right very often either. He doesn't know what he's doing. We're going nowhere under him. Push him in the direction of the door. As soon as possible. Please.

Wish me luck, as you wave me goodbye.

Cheerio, here I go,on my way.

Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye.

With a cheer, not a tear, make it gay.

Give me a smile,I can keep for a while,

In my heart while I'm away.

Till we meet once again you and I,

Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye.

Wish me luck, as you wave me goodbye.

Cheerio, here I go, on my way

...WHAT? He hasn't gone yet?
