BartonFox Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Proper football fans, proper grounds and no pretentious post Euro 96 football followers. Local derbies with Northampton and Forest. Still some terracing to be enjoyed, promotion campaign, Johnstone Paint Trophy and a non league club in the first round of the FA Cup. Bring it on

A long trek to Scotland, sorry Carlisle off to Wales with Swansea, no more trips to Devon, back to the notrh east with Hartlepool. Walsall back and maybe even doen to MK Dons.

Maybes Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Were all going on a super league one tour, a super league one tour, a super league one tour.
Brainy Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 The only problem with League One is that useless Paint Trophy, League Cup and FA Cup 1st and 2nd rounds.
Bryn Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Johnstone Paint Trophy Oh God, with those three words you've hit home to me exactly where we're heading. What a low.
Daggers Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 I want to win the Johnston's Paint Trophy!!! I want's get nothing - it's 'please may I'... You know something...bouncing back with some quality players and a full refit behind the scenes...it's starting to really appeal to me Ya harrrrrrr

Just ask any Forest fan if they think playing in league 1 and the LDV Vans trophy is 'a laugh'
wirralsimon Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 I live about 300 yards from Tranmere Rovers ground, so that will be one cheap away game next season! Simon
jumbo mills Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 while commisarating in syston last night the general consensus in the pub was league one could be fun.. we will pick up a 100 points and win 3 or 4 nil every week and have trips to brighton and blackpool to go on the lash.. while i agree the last bit would be good, the first bit is tripe.. clubs of comparable size to us who have gone down in recent years have struggled, first was man city who only went up in the play off final, sheffield wednesday who really struggled in their first season down there, and then there is forest who didnt even make the play offs in the first season and they are struggling in their second season. so moral of the story is,we will be a cup final to the rest of them so we will not find it easy

BartonFox Posted 15 April 2007 Author Posted 15 April 2007 You've got to be joking.Just ask any Forest fan if they think playing in league 1 and the LDV Vans trophy is 'a laugh' Yeah 'cos the CCC is a barrell of laughs. It's not like we'll be getting humped by the likes of Woking now is it
Master Fox Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Yeah 'cos the CCC is a barrell of laughs. It's not like we'll be getting humped by the likes of Woking now is it Stop being a complete bunch of idiots. League 1 football is the absolute ****ing pits, and people who keep saying ‘yeah but it will be a laugh’ are morons. Think how bad the football has been over the last three seasons, it will be even worse in League 1. After the first few matches of watching league 1 football you’ll be put off attending any more games for the rest of season. I know we’re sh*t but swapping the belief knowing we should really be a club chasing promotion to the premiership instead to thinking that league 1 going to be great because it’s a laugh is ridiculous. I bet Leeds fans aren’t starting threads on message boards or talking in pubs planning how much fun they will have in league 1 next season.
Phube Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 IIRC the third division (League One now) has had the highest goals per game ratio in the past few years!!
Stevosevic Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 IIRC the third division (League One now) has had the highest goals per game ratio in the past few years!! i would prefer to look at the quality of goal on the whole rather than the quantity.
Daggers Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 ...and people who keep saying ‘yeah but it will be a laugh’ are morons. I am a moron. Seeing as I'm looking at going to away games instead of home ones next season - I find the prospect of standing more often quite appealing. **** the club, **** the players, **** the standard of football - it will be a right laugh. Fact.
Master Fox Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 IIRC the third division (League One now) has had the highest goals per game ratio in the past few years!! Wow, great The standard of football must be brilliant. What a laugh it will be....
Simi Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Some decent away trips to be had. But I really do not want to be relegated. Obviously.

I'm one of the very few who goes along with you, I want to be having a fun away trip to Old Trafford in a couples of seasons not some fecking shitehole in a dead-end place. It will not be fun, the quality in this division is scarce, another one down will be awful. I would be humiliated to win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
