MC Prussian Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Welcome back, Mike! Already looking forward to losing three points against a very strong Preston side. I do hope you're making it to the Prem this year - you deserve it. (This might turn me into a Preston fan - depending on the outcome of this year's final games )
WINDOW FITTER (PNE) Posted 15 April 2007 Author Posted 15 April 2007 Thanks mate. Its looking like our only chance of promotion is now the play offs so Im hoping this is the time we put the jinx behind us after failing 7 out of 7 times. Its frustrating to have lost touching distance with automatic. That said, we have had a hell of a good season considering all the distruptions and transfers/injuries of key players. Being in fourth is bloody good considering and I would have take it at the start of the season. I cannot believe some of our fans are demanding we sack Paul Simpsom! For those who havnt been before, the National Football Museum is well worth a visit and is free entry. Mike
Koke Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 At least give us a point, please. We'll return the favor whenever you need it. Cheerz.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 We desperately need all the points on offer now, strangely enough I think this could be a good chance to get some. I know you demolished Coventry but even you can admit your form has been poor. I know ours has been worse but all I am saying is that this game shouldn't be as tough as some people will make out.
Master Fox Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 We need a miracle to get anything out of this game.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 We need a miracle to get anything out of this game. Wouldn't go that far, Southend won there a week ago and yesterday lost at home to the worst team I have seen at the Walkers this season, Barnsley.
Koke Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 You have to remember this is a funny and unpredictable league. Preston may have lost to Southend last week, but they trashed Coventry yesterday, the same Coventry that drew to Derby the previous round. My point is, it may look like we have no chance of getting a point (never mind three) but this league is outrageous. So its not all bad.
Koke Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 And while we in Preston, we might as well drop Jarrett back home to the club that owns him.
He's not bald Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 And while we in Preston, we might as well drop Jarrett back home to the club that owns him. Or kick him out in the fast lane of the M6
Thracian Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 At least give us a point, please. We'll return the favor whenever you need it. Cheerz. Ironic that - trying to beg points on the pitch and on here as well!
Koke Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 what do the preston fans think of jarret They got pretty much same view as us, Norwich, Hull, Plymouth, Stoke etc etc They want him out of their club ASAP.
DB11 Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 I am going so I can see the football museum again I liked that penalty shoot out... oh yea the game should be good too
Bert Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Welcome back Mike, goodluck in he playoffs and all that lark. You'll win against us. Even though teams like Southend beat you at your place, wewon't be able to. Also our record at Deepdale is errm, well, crap.
Wycombe Fox Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 Every little bit helps; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/6562773.stm
Geo V Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 I cant believe Preston have had such poor form recently. They were all set to challenge for the top 2 spots and then lost 4 games on the bounce with 3 of them against relegation candidates Leeds, QPR and Southend. The least they can do is let us win as they love losing to the shite sides . On a serious note due to there recent poor form, the game vrs us may end up being a must win scenario for them with Wolves, Stoke, Soton and even Colchester within striking distance of any further slip-ups. I cant see us getting any favours there!
Finnegan Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 We're s*** and we're beating you."Southend fans to Preston counterparts. (David, England). From the Beeb. That made me giggle.
Joe. Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 It's so unpredictable I don't know what to think about this game. With Preston's recent form we can beat them but they still have the quality to beat us easily. And by the way, is this museum actually part of the stadium? I remember hearing it somewhere before but not totally sure. Thanks
Original_Champions Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 It's so unpredictable I don't know what to think about this game. With Preston's recent form we can beat them but they still have the quality to beat us easily. And by the way, is this museum actually part of the stadium? I remember hearing it somewhere before but not totally sure. Thanks Indeed it is and well worth a visit - completely free for all. Our form of late has been poor although the problems have been solved and psychologically we are back on track. I agree that this season is incredibly unpredictable and just when you begin to feel that you have the league sussed, another result with come-forth and throw it wide-open again. Our last game of the season is Brimingham City, at home, and that could have a potential bearing on who goes up automatic - Derby or Birmingham! or could there be a further twist than that - this script must have been written by Paul T. Scheuring! In respect to Jarrett, the fact we have played with only one recognised central midfielder all season, yet still released Jarrett would maybe indicate Jarrett's qualities? Last season he looked OK and did help us with our run-in although something has obviously happened this season because the manager played him at the start of the season and soon he was found in the reseves and then onto Leicester City! Apparently there may be an arangement in which he cannot play for you on Saturday - gutted! 4 points from any of your last 4 games will have you safe.
