Scriven is an odd player. He bats well enough at times that he looks like he could be an option in the middle order. He bowls well enough (season before last especially) that he looks a frontline bowler. At other times he looks very much bits and pieces.

No doubt this is why he's with us but if he can put it all together and find consistency - do a Patel so to speak -  then we've a serious player.

What planet is he on?

Sean used to be at Huddersfield Town. He did a lot of fan engagement stuff and built a decent team off the pitch, he's actually a Leicester fan and could we be worth talking to from the @Foxes_Trust point of view. Could give another perspective that will be similar to mine (I think) but more commercial. I never cared for that stuff. However......he is probably...er definitely one of the biggest....errrr THE BIGGEST EGO's you'll ever come across.

Like long form of cricket is a difficult sale outside of the big five nations as it is. What’s going to make the likes of the US interested in Leicestershire v Derbyshire over four days?

First class cricket sadly carries  very little interest anywhere sadly nor test cricket for the most part.Sheffield shield matches get less then County Cricket so do first class matches in  India and barely anyone watches test cricket outside England India and Australia

I knew that....

The pre season schedule is the same as it was last year (well the games we know about) and in 2023, we played an additional game. Played Bradford/Leeds UCCE now three years on the trot

He's nuts, doesn't know what he is talking about -it would make a loss. The tests that Ireland hold usually make a loss even involving international sides because of the often not great weather and particularly because of the set up costs for stands etc. That's why they are building a permanent international stadium in West Dublin, to avoid the set-up costs. Malahide, beautiful ground and location, but just a club ground with no stands, so costs a fortune to transform it.

Every now and again Jarvis likes to announce something to generate some headlines. Ground redevelopment for example.

Gives off slight second hand car salesman vibes. Then again I am Mr Cynical.

Nope as Maidstone said he's nuts

Jarvis is all mouth no trousers and frankly hasn't got a clue. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if he's siphoning money off us! You have to ask why are the likes of Derbyshire and Northamptonshire not in the same financial mess as us? Jarvis out!

Any word on whats happening with the stream this season?

It's back to being free. One-Day Cup may be on mute though with the Beeb cutting coverage.

Jarvis will bring a load of American influencers back for Glamorgan at home.

Sure they will be very impressed with the crowd of 15 that attended yesterday would have been 16 but all Oliver Hawke was working
