I'd imagine the unis will help with funding. Indians, Pakistanis and Emiratis will be keen on the cricket MBA.

Where are they building it? Melbourne, that’s definitely not the Leicester skyline in the distance. 😀

It's Leicester in 2083, that's how long it'll take to raise the £60 million. They forget to put the flying cars in though.

Agreed a reciprocal agreement with the racecourse, LCCC members can hit to 8 race meets this year. Good work.

That is decent because it's not cheap to go racing

Same day the old man bought his membership (Exc. T20) for £135.

Wonder what's happening with our overseas early season. Suggested a few issues needed addressing then went quiet.

Pakistan opening bat I believe.

By the sounds of things the players didn't actually get much time with the coaches last season. Having Taylor in place could be invaluable especially as we have lots of talented but raw batsmen. Budinger, Kimber, Patel, Welch and Scriven could actually be very handy with the right guidance.

Right after Nixon has convinced Lilley he should also play red ball and we get to see him all year round

If I ever see Lilley playing for us again in any format it'll be too soon!

Lilley is quite a frustrating player, I have to admit to enjoying watching him bat in the t20 format when he's on song. Too often he seems to pretty tamely get caught out though without making the big scores he looks capable of, seems to only go big once or twice a season. I suppose if he did it more consistently he wouldn't be playing for us so it is what it is.

The occasional sloppy fielding and disciplinary lapses need cut out though.

Squad is full of players like him. Look at Rishi Patel - great to watch but his average doesn't lie, not really good enough.

Genuinly baffles me that Nixon has turned Lewis Hill into a very good bat indeed but the rest of what is a promising group (Evans, Steel, Patel, Welch, Swindells and Kimber) produce sporadically at best and even seem to have gone backwards in some cases. I do have high hopes that James Taylor can have a big positive impact though on the above players and the likes of Budinger and Lilley too. Look at Mickey Arthur and Ian Bell's impact on the likes of Anuj Dal and Brook Guest last season, good coaching can have a huge impact.

Was literally about to post that we need to offer an Aussie a chance, screw the ECB. Think he’ll do a good job for us especially if he has a point to prove which is usually the circumstances when overseas players do well.

I'd of looked at a few Australian players over Handscomb, but he had a good season in Australia and his overall record is very good. As mentioned above he'll be looking to keep himself relevant with the Ashes coming up.

Azad in at Northants as cover for Gay. Same team as that grub McManus

So Northants can carry red ball batsman as cover but we can't keep him as probably one of our best red ball batsman.
