eaststandtom Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 no thanks certainly not at the expense of preventing mattock get better signing an injury ravaged left back wouldnt be a good choice play mattock
DB11 Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 He would be excellent. He could tell Mattock a thing or two, plus be our first team left back
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 no thankscertainly not at the expense of preventing mattock get better signing an injury ravaged left back wouldnt be a good choice play mattock Oh please. Not saying he should be hung as some suggest but Saturday proved he is not yet ready for a full Championship football season, we need a left back and Harte is a damned good one.
filbertway Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I'd take him if he's as good as he was when he played for leeds.
BigGibbo Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 as ive aready mentioned somewhere before she'll do

That's the question! Maybe give him a two week trial and see but sod signing him because he's available 66 games in three years means a hell of a lot of games missed and at his age getting that edge back isn't going to be easy.

Fat Ron Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Experianced, available and naturally left footed, Sounds like a decent addition to me!!
filbertway Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 He won't be But will he be better than Mattock/Our other left back choices.

I've seen Ian Harte for Levante, he's still got the abilty, he had a couple of big injuries which limited his performances doesn't mean it will happen again.

Worth a punt, doubt any prem teams would take the gamble and if he can maintain his fitness he'd probably make the left back position his own here, I imagine we can offer some reasonable wages also. We should definately bring him in for an assessment
The People's Hero Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 If we're concerned about his injuries, we could molly-coddle him a bit and protect him between matches. Instead of training, because he could simply lie in a nice comfortable Harte-shaped box?

The People's Hero Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Unbelievable. You said it mate - I shoot from the hip Cut you down with a quip Flip reverse so hard, your anus is sick.

The People's Hero Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Move aside Pliers, it's Chaka Demus and TPH from now on. Pliers has teamed up with Fez-dingo - they are recording a double-album apparently. Personally, I don't think they have the material required for a double-album, but you try telling Fez-dingo (as he insists on being called) that.

The fact that he's struggled to make 30 appearance for 9 of his 12 professional seasons and no more than 27 since 2002 means any club will tread very carefully before giving him an expensive contract.

Leicester City Football Club laughs in the face of treading carefully when dishing out lengthy contracts to injury-prone spanners.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Chaka Demus hasn't forgotten how lightly you discarded "of the Muzz" young Fez-dingo, oh no he hasn't.
