Just seen on Sky Sports that he's having a trail at Leeds, and i thought why dont we give him a chance? When ever ive seen him his been a solid player that can play football. Can play midfield and defence!

Go on MA !

He's been awful in recent years.

No harm in having a look on trial though.

Are you sure you're not just remembering that someone once paid over the odds for him as he managed to get in on the 'Forest Youngsters Are Good' bandwagon, though?

No thanks. We actually have some quality central midfielders now.

He's better than Hughes ;)

Wrong forum...and Prutton is absolute wank.

If he ever came here I would be straight round to the ground to shit into Allen's cup of tea.

I think if he was to come here, he wouldnt be a starting 11 player, but i think he would be great squad player to have. Also he's better than the Sh*t we had in midfield last season.

He looks like a cross between Jesus and a tramp, he'll suit Leeds down to the ground, they need all the help from above they can get!

I agree. Certainly worth a trial at the club. I'm not so sure about Hellings so would like at least one more midfielder.

Young Liverpool winger, must be 19 now, he's had spells at West Brom and Hull before he was snapped up by Liverpool a few years ago. Didn't get

through to the first team this year as they have so many wingers already, but has been brilliant for their reserves and has been on the bench for

champions league games before. I went to school with him in Melton Mowbray and he's a local Leicester lad, so if Liverpool were willing to let him go

on loan to us for the season or even we willing to let him leave he would be a great asset. he's pacey on the wing, something which we've

lacked, skilful and can score goals from midfield too. He was a major part of the youth team that won the FA Youth Cup the other season, so he'd make

a great addition if only a squad player. Definitely worth a look in my opinion as he will not get any first team action this year with all the

midfielders Liverpool are buying. He was born in Leicester and so I'm sure he would agree to a move if only temporarily on loan. A link to his profile

on Liverpool's website is here:

Apparently cardiff are already interested in taking him on loan for the season but we should jump the gun and try and get him, MM was talking about having a creative midfielder and he'd be just that.

Hi i think that Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink is a possable transfer target for leicester city. He was released by charlton at the end of last season and has just turned down a offer to join sydney fc. Milan Maderic has said that there is 3 or 4 more players coming into the club and is still looking for a big name striker having lost out on Robbie Fowler. Also as Manderic made it clear Fowler was top of his transfer list, so this shows that we have the ambition and the outfit to try and temp the likes of Jimmy to the walkers. I reckon that he would be quality signing for us the this level and i dont see why he couldnt become an addition to the Manderic/Allen summer rebuild of the the city squad. What to you think?

P.S My 100th post lol:thumbup::D:cool:

It's very hard not to want and hope that a player like Hasselbaink, Fowler, Kluivert, Cole, etc could come here and still produce the goods but it's a massive gamble. It often doesn't work out.

The thing is, there are some older players out there that still have massive ability. Kevin Phillips did it last season, Les Ferdinand did it for us back in 2003/04 when he was 37. I don't think Hasselbaink's ability can be questioned too much, not a lot has changed in his game since 2005/06 where he had a very good season for Middlesborough. Last year he had a bad year and as the years go by he won't have too many more chances.

He's still quick and a devastating finisher at times, if he has the desire to play for a club like us then i'd take a chance on him. But out of all the strikers available who fit in this bracket, Andy Cole is probably the best option. Although he carries a few injuries to his name, he's a dedicated professional who still has the desire to continue to play.

I do expect a signing like this before the seasons starts, Mandaric did it at Pompey on numerous occasions.

Like Fowler a "big name" but also like Fowler a player who's best days are well behind them and has put in some very disappointing performances of late... indeed JFH was deemed so poor that he couldn't break into a team that was relegated from the prem last season.

Agreed although I think you're being kind to Jimmy personally who seemed to just opt out of the battle against relegation last season. I would be much more trustworthy of Cole who seems to still have the hunger and he showed that last season by accepting the offer to drop a division in order to play football, and not just play but play with a high level of performance. Some people may laugh but I think he was one of the best strikers to come to the Walkers last season.

No he didn't. DJ Campbell was wanted more. Hence mandaric saying "we didn't go for fowler as aggressively."

No he wasn't.

He went to pains to point out that City DID NOT bust a gut to get Fowler here so where you get the exact opposite impression from God alone knows...
