Stevosevic Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 Im deffo going to buy the new shirt, but im quite disappointed i was going to get Mcarthy on the back of it but looks like thats out the question now. You have made some strange statements in your short time on this forum. Firstly you said the midfield was fine and Hughes and Porter could do the job. And now your mad enough to have wanted McCarthy on your shirt.
Craig Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 Amazing when the right shade of blue can do. I like it now.
David Villa Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 IMO i thought Paddy Mac was a decent player. So...
lildave3 Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I like the shirt now. Much, much better than the first one.
Master Fox Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I like the shirt now. Much, much better than the first one. It's lush.
Hereford-Fox Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 It's lush. i wouldnt go that far! its o...k-ish, the last prototype was alot better than the first one that MA was holding. Hereford United have Nike, Leicester City have Jako, where is the sense in that? isnt the shirt meant to be officailly unveiled this month? and availble for pre-order straight after to 'hit the streets' in july? where are the other 2 kits and what colours will they be?
Tommeh Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 I don't mind the current shirt and I think it's certainly improved but I just hate the way the badge is done in the shield. It looks small and insignifficant. To me looking at that shirt I'd think we were topps tilles fc from Nationwide south or something like that. The badge is suppost to symbol the club and give the shirt a bit of identity, ours just doesn't.

I'd rather have us play in cheap shirts and win than wearing top-notch brands and play an abysmal season after another. It's not the shirts that matter, it's the players wearing them. I'll buy one once it's officially out.
Daggers Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Can someone explain to me what is so wrong with having JAKO manufacture a shirt as opposed to Nike, Admiral or anyone else? I mean to say, at the end of the day, it's still going to be made by two kids earning 2p a day in a Third World country so please don't tell me it has **** all to do with quality.

He's not bald Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Excellent point. And we'll be joining an exclusive cub...Portsmouth and Barnsley!
Mickey O'Neil Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 And we'll be joining an exclusive cub...Portsmouth and Barnsley! You forgot the mighty Sligo Rovers! TBH, I don't give a flying feck who makes it (as long as it's not adidas). I can't see the point in paying extra to have Nike/Puma/adidas on the front. Doesn't mean it's going to be worse quality because it's a Jako. Now you've made me sound old 'cus Ive done that thing my mum used to say when I was a kid..."fancy paying all that for a name!" (I know she's right though!"

Simi Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 I think Fulham have done that this season. Yeh they have Looks good though.
Macdaddy Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 I'm getting a bit fed up of the debate now. I just want one! The only question I have is why was the new shirt not available for fathers day. Surely it would have resulted in some big shirt sales and I wouldn't have had to pay for it! Does anyone know the release date? NB: For information, Topps Tiles do have a very good range of tiles at reasonable prices

Daggers Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Because, Daggers, 90% of people are idiots. That's what I like about you - you give so many people the benefit of the doubt. You're too kind and it will do for you in the end. I put the figure closer to 96% As long as no one put an idiot in charge of the away shirt...I'm looking forward to someone with sense giving us our RED heritage back.
Macdaddy Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Didn't Leicester United used to play in red before they disbanded?
Mickey O'Neil Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Does anyone know the release date? I went in last week. I was told early there wasn't a definite date yet, just very early July (1st week I think she said). Maybe they're making last minute adjustments? I ended up buying one of these
