Lennon gone too.

Nottingham Forest have signed former Celtic midfielder Neil Lennon on a one-year contract.

Lennon, 35, who left Celtic last month after seven successful years, becomes Forest boss Colin Calderwood's first signing of the summer.

Lennon, however, will not be joining in a coaching capacity as first thought.

A number of Championship clubs were chasing the Ulsterman's signature while Sunderland had also been linked with a move for the former Leicester player.

Henrik Larsson said today that he thinks Neil Lennon will be goi9ng to Forest as a player coach and thinks Forest will come good

where does it say that?

Now why the hell has he gone there?

Wages I suppose. Explains 1 year deal.

it annoys me he's gone there, but i'm glad he wont be lining up against us next season. for some reason that would have annoyed me more...but forest? oh neil

lol lol lol

And some of you lot were worried that him re-signing for us might affect his status as a Leicester City legend!

I think this is slightly worse!

If the best he thinks he can do is League 1 then I think we can be sure he wouldn't have cut it here. He clearly can't be bothered to put the effort in anymore if that's what he is happy with. :dunno:

It's only one of those friend of a friends dodgy rumour. Apparently he hates it at Forest and would rather be playing for Celtic reserves, he's desperate to come back here and Taggart is doing his best to bring him back.

Yes please. The boy's still got it, as evidenced on Tuesday night.

Would love this to be true, he was great in both games against us. And when he went off on wednesday it really opened the midfield and in my opinion conributed greatly to our win / forests downfall.

Even if he just lasts this season then coaches he'd be the ideal replacement for weso whilst hes out.

He hate's Calderwood's style of football apparently so I won't completely write this one off,but I hope he's not true because he's been excellent so far and as I've said before he could be a good replacement as manager if things don't work out with Calderwood

The evidence of his displays in League One suggests otherwise.

Would he really be an improvement on Kishishev?:unsure::unsure:

he would certainly fill the gap left by Wesa for a few weeks.. and to have him along as coach as well would be a good move for the fans.... Lets hope of course Gerry and Neil CAN actually coach as its pointless having them coaching otherwise....
