TUFF MATE! soon general public places will be none smoking!

If thats all he can moan about hes SAD.

The Club has been through Admin, La manga, Relegation.... manager swaps ..

I think CL is doing a smashing job and the results will turn around I bet you.

We aint going up this year, but look at Derby they got a job manager in and they are flying.

It takes time....remember MON!

I'm getting fed up of reading witty one line retorts on this site.

Humerous one liners are better than nothing and better than moaning.

I dont moan about smoking in the stadium, I do moan about the lack of enforcement of the current policy (which I think is probably about right if it were to be enforced) though. In the grand scheme of things I DO actually feel its quite important...

Smoking should be banned

A girl infront of me on Saturday smoked 4 ciggarettes in the space of 15 minutes at half time.

Constantly she was blowing her smoke not into her family's air space but our's behind her.

Was really annoying and it should be band through out the stadium

Can I just remind you Cellseven that this is a forum. You'll be hard pushed to find any forum without any moaning. It's all part and parcel of football, and life in general.

on the smoking issue, i feel it should be allowed in some parts of the stadium. After all we are at a football match and not at the cinema. Cant see the problem with half time smoking in the seats or at the back of the stand. There would be no point in the club banning it because the smokers wouldnt stop smoking at half time.

to be fair though the smoking thing is a joke

people smoke before games in seats, at half time and also concourses at half time while stewards do nothing

so where do i go to get away from it? well done lcfc on another great plan

It should have been left to smoking only allowed in the concourses, then maybe all these people wouldn't be "moaning" about it so much. But no, the club had to alter things.

That was my point above- whats the point if its not enforced. There can be certain sections where it is allowed and certain sections where its not but it HAS TO BE ENFORCED. My partner has a very good health reason for being in a no smoking section and when people light up in the family section it REALLY p***es us off!

That was AWFUL! You had to walk through a wall of smoke at half time just to get down the stairs to the loo. Its best left as it is as long as, like I said, the Stewards actually enforce it.

Cellseven,

Am I missing something here? Please explain to me exactly how Mr Levein is doing a 'smashing job.' You see, you contradict yourself when you say: '...the results will turn around I bet you.'

This means that results, currently, are unsatisfactory (some might say 'most' unsatisfactory when you consider that a play-off place was the minimum expectation when he was appointed).

As professional football is, by and large, a results driven business Mr Levein's stewardship cannot be considered as 'smashing' (unless you are using this adjective in its most literal sense - as some might in this context).

You could say something like 'the jury is still out on him.' And that's about the best spin you could put on things. On the other hand there are many more whose assessment of Levein might be more like 'telling it like it is.'

As we are about to witness our third (false) dawn of our lacklustre season I will resist the temptation to shit on your sleeping bag until the gloom descends again.

By whom, pray enlighten us on this somewhat presumptuous generalisation. No one in my circle of friends, acquaintances or work colleagues had any thoughts of ‘playoffs’ when Craig Levein was appointed; our best hope was that he could shift some of the aged and dross, which he has had some limited success with by getting rid of Benjamin, Pressman, Keown and Elliott. Beyond that our hopes were limited to, at worse avoiding relegation at best mid table obscurity.

You write these statements of yours as if they are facts. Why?

I AGREE THERES FAR TO MANY PEOPLE MOANING ABOUT STUPID THINGS. INSTEAD OF MOANING GET BEHIND THE LADS AND HELP INSTALL CONFIDENCE IN THEM. THE LOUDER WE SING FOR THEM THE HARDER THEY WILL TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MORE WE MOAN ABOUT THEM THE MORE DESPONDANT THEY'L BECOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoof for one on here (several others on talking testicles) and I've only checked one thread.

I like your interpretation of getting rid of the 'old and the dross', davieg. Adams had Benjamin out on loan since the start of last season. We got Pressman as temporary cover for Walker until something better (Taylor) became available. Everyone creamed themselves when Keown decided to join LCFC. And Elliott retired.

As for 'avoiding relegation' you really have a nerve. That only loomed large as a possibility in the lead up to the Gillingham home match a couple of weeks back.

And if mid table obscuirty was the best that could have been hoped for at the start of Levein's tenure, then why was there a campaign to get rid of Adams in the first place (because that's were we were then - difference being we were improving at the time that Adams decided to sling his hook)?

That's why Levein is getting away with murder now - because he's dragged expectations down with him.

Are you on something to night Chandler?

I can agree with some points but I don't in my opinion believe that we were improving under Micky. The biggest indictment I had of the man was that he was very very negative, in his strategy on the pitch, and his attitude towards the players he had at the club when he arrived, and some of the players he brought in. The amount of players that he fell out, and the La Manga incident all left big question marks over his man management skills.

His tactics have always also had big question marks hanging over them. If anything we are still living with his legacy of nervousness at home. I had lost count of the number of times we have been in the lead and lost it in the final minutes of a game. All because of a negative, sit back and defend mentality at home!

Since Levein has taken over this mentality is slowly changing. We attack until the end of games, we never give up (as evidenced by Reading away), and the average age of the squad has taken a distinct downturn. We actually look like we are building something as opposed to providing a stop gap for football veterans everywhere!

Before you comment, I am not an enemy of Micky, I recognise the contribution he made and still maintain respect for him...however, I am now firmly behind our new manager and looking to the future. I don't want to be 2-0 up to QPR and lose, I don't want to be 3-0 up to Wolves and lose, I don't want to be leading 3-1 to middlesborough and draw, I don't want to draw 4-4 with spurs when there was ample opprotunity to close out the game, I don't want to capitulate to Brighton or Watford and not have any creativity to even carve out a single chance. There are plenty more examples like this but I have no desire to re-hash the past.

Lets look to the future together as fans. Come on Channy, you can't argue with that logic. Leicester till WE die. :)
