Solihullfox Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 So we have currently sold 7,000 season tickets with up to 5 pm Saturday for people to retain their seats. I seem to recall that we had around 13,500 last season but don't bite my head off if that's wrong. Even with an expected rush in the ticket office this week, I can't see us reaching last seasons figure. What sort of number do you think we'll reach and what difference will a couple of GOOD signings make to the final total ?
Phube Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Well me and the Missus aren't re-newing... (too poor after Wedding!! ) I also know two more who are, again purely on affordability! I only know two other people who are ST holders so in my little demographic, that's only a 33% re-newal rate!
Webbo Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 I shall probably renew on Saturday, no point renewing too early, I suspect a lot of people will do the same.
Simi Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 I'll be renewing this week That number is awful considering what we've had this season. I thought the Mandy bandwagon would of gained a few more already. I suppose there is still a fair bit to go yet though.

Yeah there's still a long time until the start of the season so we'll be alright. Renewed mine on Saturday
Bluefoxtim Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 I'm sure a couple of big-ish signings with transfer fees involved would have/will really give sales a boost
Solihullfox Posted 11 June 2007 Author Posted 11 June 2007 To be honest I haven't renewed mine yet but ........are people either uninspired by the signings so far or maybe waiting to see how far Mr. Mandaric is prepared to push the boat out before deciding whether to part with their hard earned ? And I will be renewing this week.

Or maybe after what they have witnessed from the players and the club over the past two years they have given up giving their hard earned money to the club, even with the new Mandaric era.

You may well be right ans can't say I blame anyone for feeling that way. I just hope that Mandy isn't using the season ticket sales figure as a barometer of how much to spend.
Thracian Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 I renewed mine ten mins after the wolves game The sign of a true football fan! I've got mine too and my lad will get to a good many home matches this season which will mean one more. It is still early days with the signings but the fact that so many think we'll finish around 12th doesn't suggest anything so far has captured the imagination. Seems at the moment that the ST figure will around normal leaving it up to the casuals and glory hunter fans to swell our numbers - if things go well. does anyone think Derby's being in the Premiership will affect our casual support in North Leicestershire?
AyewJoking Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 June 16th is just the deadline for renewing your current seat isnt it? Still plenty of time for Season Tickets to be sold between now and the start of the season.

What sort of number do you think we'll reach and what difference will a couple of GOOD signings make to the final total ? well I got mine the other day and i did it on the 6 month scheme which is very good! I pay £50 deposit and just over £51 for just over 6 months! no interest sweet!
Solihullfox Posted 11 June 2007 Author Posted 11 June 2007 June 16th is just the deadline for renewing your current seat isnt it? Still plenty of time for Season Tickets to be sold between now and the start of the season. Renewals date is the 16th, I am just trying to get a feel for how many we'd sold last season. If half the season ticket holders from last season have renewed so far (with a few days to go) do people think this is good going or bad ? Based on what was served up last season we can hardly hope for thousands banging on the door to get their first season ticket can we.
SilverFox Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 I have renewed mine but thinking the club might well hold off on making a big signing until the deadline for discounts passes...just to generate interest after the discount period expires.

Daggers Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 .......are people either uninspired by the signings so far or maybe waiting to see how far Mr. Mandaric is prepared to push the boat out before deciding whether to part with their hard earned ? I'd be amazed if we don't top last season's sales, and I don't think (in the main) people are actively waiting for a 'name' signing - although one of those is never going to hurt. I think it is quite clear that the direction the team is taking is a positive one and, let's face it, if someone was prepared to shell out for last season's shite then they'd probably be prepared to watch the coming one (finances permitting). With the zero-interest instalment option there's precious little excuse not to get a ST if you are that way inclined. If you look at the 'Expectations' thread it'd seem that we are all mostly pretty realistic about the coming campaign, I don't believe that anyone really expects 'the boat to be pushed out'.

This season i am inspired by martin Allen and his no nonsense approach which is what has been needed at Leicester for years, as it has not been we ended up in the mess we found our selves in with our lily livered managers with no nasty begger edge to them!
Kilworthfox Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Same seat as last year Tommo? Almost I'm now officially a back rower! maybe I will invite you up to look from my superior view and added back banging abilities
lildave3 Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Almost I'm now officially a back rower! maybe I will invite you up to look from my superior view and added back banging abilities Ahh good. Means the LCG's can't attack me now.
Lillehamring Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 i imagine that quite a few people won't renew because of the bad taste left by the many cheap tickets offered last season, i remember many ST-holders being pissed at this. tho i canæt imagine MM will allow this to happen, hopefully some decent results/performances will bump individual match ticket sales etc.
Daggers Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 ...tho i canæt imagine ... Hey, less of the foreign lingo!

That's what's sooo unfair... I've had a Season Ticket for the past 6 season... 4 of which have been abject misery! Now just when things are looking up, my finances are looking down!! I will be able to get to about 10 games next year, but I'd have (probably) lost MY seat!!!
Simi Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Almost I'm now officially a back rower! maybe I will invite you up to look from my superior view and added back banging abilities Nice one Tommo. I'm not into all the marketting and publicity stunts, but would the club really wait until after the dealine to sign a hig profile player at the risk of losing him .

I blame Thatcher! ...oi Phube stop...stop it....it was a jok...
