Blue Bob Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 If we sign him i'll streak naked at one of Syston Park's home games!!! Fair enough but not one of the kids games please!!! 31 is no age, lets face it Garry Parker was no spring chicken when we signed him. A quality midfielder that can read the game well and pass the ball, someone like Wesso can do his running and break up play. This would be a quality signing, and would hopefully help attract more players.
Simon Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I can't understand some people. One minute the signings we're making aren't exciting enough, the next, when someone does come up with a 'big player' they say 'we haven't got a hope in hell's chance of signing big players'. You can't have it both ways. If we offer him a reasonably large (and lengthy) contract I see no reason why he might not consider us. It's extremely unlikely but not completely out of the question- especially if he wants guarenteed first team football.

A couple of years ago he was at Real Madrid, hes been at Everton and Celtic, on large amounts of money i should think. He could still play in the premiership, why would he come to us?
Thracian Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I'd jizz all over Gravesen's bald head if he signed. That's Graveson out then!

But as one football pundit once said "It's a funny old game"
lee7 Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 i'd love to see gravesen here but i think he will go to a prem team
Cat Burger Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I imagine he'll go to Villa, they've got rid of Gavin McAnn so they need a holding mid.

It's extremely unlikely but not completely out of the question- especially if he wants guaranteed first team football. Issue remains he was paid around 30-40,000/week at Celtic. Where will we get half that amount?
Master Fox Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I'd jizz all over Gravesen's bald head if he signed. What? Steve Agnew weren't good enough for you eh??

Leonisco Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 This would be an amazing signing, but unfortunately it ain't gonna happen people.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I wouldn't be too bothered either way, we need attacking midfielders and Gravesen is not one of these.
lee7 Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 I wouldn't be too bothered either way, we need attacking midfielders and Gravesen is not one of these. he's a good holding midfielder who weso would learn a lot from

He could still play in the premiership, why would he come to us? and last season lennon was at celtic too and he had dropped further down to be with the scum.... yes i know lennon is older.... but miracles do happen-i read in the merc someone was interested in Hammond!
dandannieldanok Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 he's a good holding midfielder who weso would learn a lot from Yes he is but where does our attacking output come from the midfield, it wouldn't be from him and it isn't going to be from this Sergio guy as many sources explain that he is a defender. Gravesen's wages would be too much anyway, and before anybody says we have Mandaric to pay it, he won't.
pazey69 Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 would be a top signing, but to be honest i cant see it happening. enjoyed the rumour whilst it lasted though.

Cheese Me Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 Oh if only this were true. If we can genuinely sign someone like Graveson now we're in for an exciting ride over the next few years. Can't see it happening but I can dream.

Can't see it happening but I can dream. I have to disagree, but don't worry your excitement has already and will be shared by others. Signing someone like Gravesen, who don't get me wrong is good at his job, would fill me with anytihng but excitement. All he Gravesen appears to be is a much better, yet more defensive version of Tiatto. I would prefer to spend the wages on exciting attacking talent and if anything Gravesen is better suited to the Premier League and Champions League style where he can dictate play.

J.Lisemore Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Graveson its all a load of rubbish to be honest...look at the clubs hes been at
Mikey Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 its all a load of rubbish to be honest...look at the clubs hes been at So what? That Hellings guy has been at Ajax and Anderlecht both quality clubs. I agree that this is most likely untrue but just because he has been at good clubs doesn't mean he wont come here.....even though I don't think he will. If ya get me
MBK Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Probably MM's approach is just intended as smoke puff to the mediocre signings i.e. we won't get any special players this season. In the end, two wingers would satisfy my appetite. I couldn't care if they're low profile but they must be complete.
