Sparky Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 I have to disagree, but don't worry your excitement has already and will be shared by others. Signing someone like Gravesen, who don't get me wrong is good at his job, would fill me with anytihng but excitement. All he Gravesen appears to be is a much better, yet more defensive version of Tiatto. I would prefer to spend the wages on exciting attacking talent and if anything Gravesen is better suited to the Premier League and Champions League style where he can dictate play. when graveson was at everton he was a box to box midfielder and the most creative attacking option everton had , its when he signed for madrid that they tried to convert him in to a defensive midfielder and celtic followed suit . he would be 1 of the best players this club have had for 10 years without doubt . but no , im pretty sure he wont be coming here
Sly Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 I would love Graveson to come here. If he was to join I think it would be the best signing the club has made for over years. Sign of things to come for he Milan era?
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Can't believe what I'm reading in this thread. Gravesen was terrible during the season past at Parkhead. His passing is shithouse - most of the time he gets the ball, he overshoots his target and sends the ball out for an opposition throw in. He does not link up well with forwards either which is an attribute we don't need at Leicester. Some Tims will slag off Lennon's recent performances but at least he held the midfield - Gravesen looked like a piece of furniture trying to fit in with the squad. He can look elsewhere!
Gené and Tonic Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 You do realise we signed Andy Johnson last season?

He's only ever made a good impression as a box-to-box player, for club or country. But this rumour is right out. Gravesen thinks too much of himself since his glamour move to Real Madrid.

General Smuts Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 What a beautiful pipe dream it was! He'll either go be with god at villa or that **** keane at sunderland. We can but hope though. This is exactly the type of quality player i hope leicester could sign. Its all looking really good for the blue army now! Bring on next season!

If we have decent winger then two holding mids will be fine, because they will spread it wide to the attacking wingers, your obsession with attacking midfileders who dont break the play and dont bother tracking back is quite worrying. wesolowski and someone like graveson in the middle would kick arse in this league, its the delivery that matters not wether they run all the way upto the defense then lose it like lampard.
LCFC2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Graveson [/quote Graveson won't come to LCFC as he has offers from clubs in the Prem so why would he reject an offer from a team in the Prem to step down to the Championship

MPH Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 He's quality at this level.Cant see it happening though. He is too high-profile for us. i think he is quality at ANY level... this would be just too unbelieveable to comprehend... i mean... he's just too good for the champ surely.....
Foxhateram Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 Was good at Everton, bench warmed and ruined his career at real, then went to celtic and did ok. hes diteriorating with his age, he must a good 32 by now? time to drop down a league if you ask me. however he wont come here, not enough promise and security, everything is if's and but's round here atm this is not doing us any good on the transfer front i dont think.
Cheese Me Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 If Shef Utd think they can get him surely it would be worth a shot? Very, very long shot but he would probably be the best player in this division if we could get him and still only 31 so a couple of years left. Can't see it happenning but I'd like to think we're as attractive a proposition as the blades.
