Raj Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I'm waiting to see how long it takes for them to bed in together...seeing as that could be half the season. At first glance that looked like get to bed together!!!! Must just be my disturbed mind!
Pete_foxes Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Hmm.. hate to be the pesimist but.. Think of all the teams in our league, Wolves, Charlton, Norwich, Plymouth, Preston, Sheff U, Sheff W, Southamton, Stoke. Although I would love to think we'd get the play-offs and I would love it. I think realisticly we'l be looking finishing 10th. Sorry to dampen the mood.... hang on ahh.. the dancing bannana all better now

All of a sudden, everyone is running around going on about finishing in the top 6 with no evidence that it could happen. It's plain stupid. You watch, I bet that there'll be at least three "Should we kick Allen out?" polls before Christmas.

BUT if we DO miraculously win 3-4 games out of 5-6 they will be saying 'told you so'(The ones who think we will be top 6) And,like you say, if we lose 3-4 in as many the 'Allen out' banners will no doubt be unveiled well before October!
Daggers Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 BUT if we DO miraculously win 3-4 games out of 5-6 they will be saying 'told you so' Doesn't make it any less stupid to be predicting play-offs at this stage of the summer though.

True, we'l see won't we Just better to not expect to much then we won't be disapointed. I could see us 10th. I would be satisfied with that, after all if we got promoted, with the players at current, Liklely hood is we'd come straight back down. Guess we'd have those handsome parachute payments tho
Raj Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Doesn't make it any less stupid to be predicting play-offs at this stage of the summer though. I think we'll go down!!!!! Not really!!!!!!!!
Pete_foxes Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I think we'll go down!!!!! Not really!!!!!!!! in that case... I think we'll go up!!!!! Not really!!!!! had u guys for a second
Lillehamring Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Bit premature, lads. Why not hold back from posting bold predictions about our future success (relative) until we actually have something resembling a squad. or we could try to get excited about the POTENTIAL of new players, new structure, new owner , new manager, great range of young players taht are USED TO WINNING... christ, even the kit is ok. it is just as silly to try to predict the season based on last seasons results - i mean we didn't even have a reserves team. who, (to quote joe cocker and jennifer warnes) knows what tomorrow brings... ...In a world, few hearts survive All I know is the way I feel When it's real, I keep it alive The road is long, there are mountains in our way But we climb a step every day Love lift us up where we belong, where the eagles cry On a mountain high Love lift us up where we belong, far from the world below We know, up where the clear winds blow Some hang on to used to be Live their lives, looking behind All we have is here and now All our life, out there to find The road is long, there are mountains in our way, But we climb them a step ev'ry day Love lift us up where we belong, where the eagles cry On a mountain high Love lift us up where we belong, far from the world We know, up where the clear winds blow Time goes by, no time to cry, life's you and I Alive today Love lift us up where we belong, where the eagles cry On a mountain high Love lift us up where we belong, far from the world We know, where the clear winds blow

Lillehamring Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 come on - let's get positive! yes, the team may not gel - but try telling that to sunderland fans....
potter3 Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Wolves, Charlton, Norwich, Plymouth, Preston, Sheff U, Sheff W, Southamton, Stoke I've crossed out the teams I don't beleive will post a serious promotion challenge. I reckon we could scrape the playoffs, if we have one of "those seasons"
He's not bald Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 As long as we finish in the first page of the teletext table,id be happy with that! I will be happy watching a Leicester team that actually give a dam!
hoooom Posted 26 June 2007 Author Posted 26 June 2007 If leicester aren't going to be there but i think they will be. Post your top 6s people
dandannieldanok Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I'm ready for the pessimist jibes here but I'll voice my opinion and if we carry on at this rate in the transfer market I believe we'll finish 13th-16th.
Babylon Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Next seasons last seasons Stoke City Spot on, was thinking exactly the same.
Zingari Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Next seasons last seasons Stoke City i was thinking more along the lines of , next season's the season before last season's Watford
Tabou Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 i was thinking more along the lines of , next season's the season before last season's Watford as someone already said....as long as it isnt as dismal to watch as last season, it will be great!
Leonisco Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I'm ready for the pessimist jibes here but I'll voice my opinion and if we carry on at this rate in the transfer market I believe we'll finish 13th-16th. That's not overly pessimistic, but I think we can be fairly confident of a top-half finish. 9th-12th is my prediction.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Can someone edit Milan's name in the thread title? It's really bugging me.
davieG Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Can someone edit Milan's name in the thread title? It's really bugging me. Debugged
Ric Flair Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I can't get optimistic about next season until we sign some goal scorers. Without any, we'll struggle to get anywhere near the top half of the table.
