mancunianfox Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Pleased with this signing. Looks very talented and could make the club some money too.
Raj Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 It says in his interview he is used to playing in front of crowds of 50,000 plus....Boy is he in for a shock!!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Everything about this says coup to me. International player with over 50 caps and experince at the Asian Championships + World Cup at the age of 21, we've apparently beaten off Premier interest although the site seem to say that about evey signing we make and if we are beating these Premiership clubs to players I'd love to know how. Biggest thing for me is that he's featured in World Soccer magazines talent scout section, believe you me they do not have any old duffer in there, this lad must have something about him.
escape2victory Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Quality. Him and Chambers should form a lethal combination down our right flank. Left backs beware. Your in for a torid time when you face City this season, although they must have also been kegging it when they had J-Lo running at them last season. What pace, skill and trickery he possessed.
Thracian Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 To me it is arguably the first signing that suggests we're getting some credence back. The guy's pedigree and the fact that we beat off significant Premiership opposition for such a young player is exceptional and should send a message to any other potential signings that we're thinking as a serious club again. I've already awarded MA +1 for this but it is so significant it's worth a bonus of 0.5 (total +12). I just hope now that his play and his commitment justifies our optimism and reflects his impressive record so far.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 This is the only signing out fo 9 so far that I am excited about.
Gené and Tonic Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Yep, hopefully him right-wing with Chambers right-back. Although his national team might have something to say about that?
Joe. Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Yep, hopefully him right-wing with Chambers right-back. Although his national team might have something to say about that? What can they do?
Cal Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 This is easily the best signing from reading reports etc in my opinion - CANT WAITTTT
Gené and Tonic Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 What can they do? Object against it I'd imagine he prefers right-wing anyway. Any player likes to get forward and involved and it seems he does that anyway at right-back
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2007 Author Posted 5 July 2007 He won't be able to join pre-season training though as he has the Asia Cup to play in. He'll have serious match practice under his belt come the start of the season though.
STUHILL Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Great signing!! Even though I don't know much about him, I have been taken in with the Hype! Only worry is he is known as a Right Back, I hope it is the right wing we will be playing him, and he is equally as good in that position!!
Joe. Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Object against it I'd imagine he prefers right-wing anyway. Any player likes to get forward and involved and it seems he does that anyway at right-back I'd agree with you there. His pace an trickery should be perfectly suited to the right flank.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 He'll have serious match practice under his belt come the start of the season though. True and in a way that is better but it still a worry that he might not gel with any of the players here, also he doesn't speak the lingo, oh well he will be good enough.

Absolutely. I think a re-location to either the East or West Stand could be in order for next season, think this boy will entertain.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Does anyone know wether the Asia cup is on TV? I was actually about to start a thread asking that in general chat. If it is I'd start by having a look at Euro Sport.
Nick Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Exciting, nice to have horsey, good to dress up like the olden days. First signing with real pedgree and future promise. Good stuff. Can we have some more please, sir?
Daggers Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 I bet you are Seriously. I think this is an outstanding signing. I hope it comes off for him here, I hope that the rigours of the Championship don't throttle his ability - he could easily be one of the stars of the season. Yesterday, I had butterflies when I knew he was coming. I can't wait to see him ripping up the flank. Christ! To think of last season watching JLow, Momo and Hugheso stumbling about in an aimless fashion... K'Aebi rocks.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 So is this lad a right back or a right winger? Both, probably more of a wing-back than winger or full back
Cal Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Is his name Kaebi or Kaabi? Cause on his shirt it says Kaabi.
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2007 Author Posted 5 July 2007 So is this lad a right back or a right winger? He is a right wing back by trade, but has been playing in an attacking midfield role for his club last season. Iran play wing backs a lot of the time so he's not necessarily a standard right back. For the first time in a long while, i'm ridiculously happy with a signing.
