Guest Posted 17 July 2007 Posted 17 July 2007 I was reading the Sporting Blue before the Quorn game and it quoted MA (i think) as saying that Kevin Lisbie had accepted their offer to train with the first team but Lee Hendrie had not yet taken uo this offer - to me that says we already decided not to sign him and he didnt want to hang about any longer

Lisbie, 28, was released by Charlton at the end of last season after coming through the youth ranks at the Valley. The Hackney-born Jamaican international scored 19 goals in 176 games for the Addicks, his only permanent club. Hungary centre-back Bela Balogh, 23, who plays for MTK Hungaria in his homeland, will also play for the U's.
