Babylon Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 From the merc. "Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie and Charlton winger Kevin Lisbie have both trained with City this week. That could be the first step towards a permanent move"
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 How on earth wasn't he spotted at the training ground? Fez, you mug!!!!
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Anyone find it really odd that a player of Lee Hendrie's calibre has been training with us without signing? Got to be a sign that he's more than interested in coming to us.

Got to be a sign that he's more than interested in coming to us. I really hope so, if he go signs for someone like Sheff Utd now, i will be gutted!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 How on earth wasn't he spotted at the training ground? Fez, you mug!!!! He wasn't training Tuesday.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 He wasn't training Tuesday. Perhaps he was wearing one of those clever nose and glasses diguises?
Tubes Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 hendrie one wing kaebi the....not baaaad i think they will be our way in next season plonking it into cort
chili_con_carne Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Lisbie's bollocks, but im pleased with Hendrie training with us. I would have preferred Job to Lisbie
The People's Hero Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Lisbie isn't that bad. More than adequate Championship player. Just lost his way a bit recently. Would be happy to sign either/both.
Master Fox Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Is Lisbie the guy who scored that quality goal against us in the prem when playing for Charlton?
ronnup Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Agreed Hero...... I'd take either of them for sure. Promising that Hendo's training. Not sitting in his sports car with shades on in the car park waiting for a cash cow to be slaughtered in his honour. Allen could graft that lad into a proper team changing player
dandannieldanok Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Is this really true??? Yes, although it doesn't mean an awful lot because they haven't signed anything yet or perhaps not even been offered deals yet.
Geo V Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Hendrie would be like the missing link in our midfield because he has the talents that all central midfielders should have, the ability to create goals and to track back and tackle. Hopefully all the furore over Kaebi and others will tempt him to sign for us. Lisbie is a weird one. At times he looks donkey like as he missed a few easy chances when he finally got a game at Charlton but my opinion of him is he is similar to Chopra, someone who has been bogged down at the same club for so long that the fans have never taken to him and he just cant succeed there but has a chance of doing really well somewhere else. I would get him in but would still want another powerful striker like Job to come too and punt out Elvis on a free to Tamworth.
The Reverend Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Hendrie is class at this level - we all know that. If he comes in we have a realistic chance of getting in the top 6. He is just the player we need. Creative, has desire, good age/experienced. Perfect. And as for Lisbie, worth a punt id say.

hebangsthedrums Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Is Lisbie the guy who scored that quality goal against us in the prem when playing for Charlton? No I think that was Shaun Bartlett. You mean that volley from a tight angle?
Daggers Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Hendrie would be like the missing link No. Hendry is the missing link. Jesus! A face that not even a mother could love.
