STUHILL Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 This guy is a legend! Team spirit has got to be high, come the start of the season, with training sessions like that
Edmund Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Well you can see how he has got the knickname Mad Dog. Mars bars and barbeque sets - lovelyLINK I bet allens got a quality surround sound set up with the amount of dvds hes watching. Weekend off hope that doesn't mean friday/saturday night at terrace bar.
Blue Bob Posted 6 July 2007 Author Posted 6 July 2007 I was pleased to see that Fryatt won the overall prize, so he is training hard. Might be trying to impress the boss as he might not want to go to Wolves??
mancunianfox Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 This guy is a legend! Team spirit has got to be high, come the start of the season, with training sessions like that Yeah sounds awesome. I don't think team spirit will be a problem over the summer...after all we do have a 'cracking bunch of lads' at the club
Kent Fox Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 MA: "So he's got to impress me and do well for himself to earn himself something better and if he helps get us promoted then he'll get well-rewarded. That's the bottom line". Speaking about Newton. One year deal? Promotion? There's the expectation for this season, then. Mar-tin Allen Top bloke.
potter3 Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Quality. Sound like they all respect him though, and sounds good that Fryatt won man of the tournament.
Geo V Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 He is a funny sod is old MA and I for one dont care what his methods are as long as they work! I know he is trying to lose his Mad Dog tag so how about Mad man??!
Kent Fox Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 He is a funny sod is old MA and I for one dont care what his methods are as long as they work! I know he is trying to lose his Mad Dog tag so how about Mad man??! Now that's what I call a mad dog tag.

I know he is trying to lose his Mad Dog tag so how about Mad man??! Think that his suggestion of Nutty Professor was spot on. I hope that these methods do get the job done because he is going to look like a complete idiot if they don't.
Leonisco Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Absolutely brilliant, really made me smile reading that. Somehow, I've got a feeling that however well or badly we do on the pitch next season, it's not going to be dull.
Geo V Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Was anyone at training today? Any sign of Mo Fo or Hendrie???
filbertway Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 I love MA, almost as much as Elvis, God i hope Elvis stays
Thracian Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 You get the feeling that Fryatt is wound up big time for this season. As for MA - very refreshing. Beats Kelly coming out with the same 50 words reshuffled into a well known phrase or saying. No comment on why we lost out on Cohen/Davies though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Previous Allen Score 11.5 Matty Fryatt, the man of the tournament -2 points. New Allen Score 9.5
Leonisco Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 No comment on why we lost out on Cohen/Davies though. How do you know we were going for them?
Thracian Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Previous Allen Score 11.5-2 points. New Allen Score 9.5 If you want it in writing I am absolutely delighted for Fryatt. In fact, right now, I'm far more worried about Carl Cort than Matt Fryatt.
Guest Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 All sounds well down at the City then...lets hope it continues. MA sounds like a legend - might be the first boss to raise a smile since MON. And I've a strange feeling that Matty Fryatt's gonna be banging them in from all angles this season like the year before last (iewhen he was fit)
Blue Bob Posted 6 July 2007 Author Posted 6 July 2007 Previous Allen Score 11.5-2 points. New Allen Score 9.5 Sorry not so sure I agree. If MA has managed to motivate a player who last season was sluggish to be the best in "the tournament" then I would say that is a plus 2. We need a 20 goal a season striker - it would be nice to think we already have one on board

Tommeh Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Great report and brought a big smile to my face reading it Good to hear about Fryatt and with the players arriving at 8:15, determined not to be trining with the youth team:thumbup:
