Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 I just got that email you sent me asking if I was going to the Notts County game by the way. The answer is no.
Daggers Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 I just got that email you sent me asking if I was going to the Notts County game by the way.The answer is no. No one - NO ONE* - replied to their PM's and emails. I didn't take it personally. Much. (*aside from MP)
Ric Flair Posted 23 July 2007 Author Posted 23 July 2007 Well, you have faith in him Ric and that should be good enough for me.Afterall, you are the same person that has an eye for talent... Hahaaaa brilliant. It's a good job I didn't put my money where my mouth is with that old flannel.
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 No one knew anything about Elvis when he first got here and he got good support until he repeatidly let us down with his Gangsta antics. Predicting how he would get on so early as Ric did was a bit difficult, more optomism than judgement..
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 I think we should sign him Fez RE Ex Bristol City Socceroo shit bag Luke Wilkshire.
Sir Fynwy Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 No one - NO ONE* - replied to their PM's and emails.I didn't take it personally. Much. (*aside from MP) That's not true, I did (was this morning though)
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Fez RE Ex Bristol City Socceroo shit bag Luke Wilkshire. Pffft. To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen him play either. I/We must have been desperate back then.
Joe. Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 A few opinions on AJ and Josh Low signing: AJ is Quality for us at theis moment in timeRESULT! delighted about johnson, dont know much about j lowe(get it) but have heard good things, personally a good start for the squad building, cant wait for start of season now Josh Louw is awesome, sometimes i go to Northampton caus me best m8 supports and evry1 calls him J lo. But Fez had the right idea: F**k
ronnup Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 !!! remind me not to disagree with you in future
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 I've just read through the thread that came from, it's hilarious. Everyone is wetting themselves over Johnson (apart from Barton ) and I'm desperately trying to warn everyone how shit Low is without coming across as pessimistic.

Bluefoxtim Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 TBH, before saturday's game I wouldn't have minded if he had gone...but from what I saw I think he could have a lot to offer

Head Honcho Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Every player gets a clean slate from me every season(except Hughes ) It all depends which Fryatt turns up against Blackpool! It took him 8 games to score his first last season 12 games to score his 2nd and a staggering 27 games to score his 3rd on Jan 17th against Fulham! His fourth and last after 30 games against Derby I think he deserved all the criticism he got last season injured or not!

In fact there's a case for Fryatt being written out of our 2006-2007 history. Government's do it - why not City?. That way he'd get a really clean slate.
Zingari Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 i expected this to turn into the usual "**** off Fatty Fryup" fest but its refreshingly optimistic i hope he gets at least until mid season to prove himself ; if he wants that of course

It's his attitude thats at doubt! I'm willing to put last seasons piss poor performances down to him being in a shoite team so this season there'll be no excuses. Will there?

I am a big advocate of MF having another chance. You are right in saying it's hard to doubt his ability, and in this new era, with a better midfield, he should get his chances. It's up to him if he takes them. He deserves half a season to really prove he's got what it takes.
Geo V Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Some people think that a 27yo striker who has hardly scored throughout his career and/or a big old forward who has been on loan for nearly two years but played well against Spurs once deserve to be in teh team at Fryatts expense. Its a joke that he isnt looked at with more respect but hey, football fans are loonies at the best of times with the way that they see things on the pitch! Lets hope he proves the doubters wrong although I reckon quite a few will be hoping he fails so they can tell us "they told us so".

Fryatt and a fit Cort(fingers crossed) with Hume just behind them should be the one for Blackpool

Yes, and Martin Allen seems to be one of them. I love the way some of MDV's biggest critics on here tie themselves in all kind of knots trying to make excuses for Fryatt. Allen has given both of them a clean slate. It's up to them whoever makes the most of the opportunities he gives them.
