MBK Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1079104,00.html Good morning, So far this trip away has gone well. It seems to me the players are more comfortable in each other's company and are also getting to know the staff and myself and how we work. It is important to me that we all trust each other and respect each other. I am not bothered if they are friends with each other, but trust and respect is essential. We have been working on those areas in various ways since we got here. Alan Birchenall this morning left Scotland and our team hotel for his trip back to Leicester. The trip has given the new players, new staff and myself the opportunity to get to know him. He has mucked in with all the odd jobs and given the whole place a very positive 'vibe'. Dudley Campbell is now looking fitter and should play a part on Saturday. Stephen Clemence got through 90 minutes without any ill effects on Tuesday night. There are a few people with aches and minor pains. Jonny Haynes has a small thigh strain, which shouldn't take too long. Dave Rennie and Damien Doyle have been instrumental in injury prevention with their warm ups, warm downs and rehydration - or in my terminology the right food and drink. Those two have been invaluable advising Whit and myself to make sure the players are not over trained, which of course risks injury. Today we are doing morning and afternoon sessions followed by a double session on Friday and a further session on Saturday morning before we play Kilmarnock. Lastly, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those Leicester supporters at the game on Tuesday night. To think they had travelled abroad on a Tuesday night is quite astonishing. Best wishes, Martin

The People's Hero Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I can't believe Thracian still has him in positive numbers when messiah Dodds and disciple King haven't been taken.

But with the new players you cannot expect to walk into the team!! Last year when the likes of Hughesy, Jonsy etc, I would have expected them to get a shot at the team!! And they're footballers not fooballing thugs like Stearman!!

davieG Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 No mention of Sheehan's injury. Allen was quoted in the Merc as saying it was severe cramp and how the squad were laughing as it looked like Sheehan had been shot by a sniper the way he went down but that there was nothing to worry about.
Kent Fox Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Back off, he's mine!! NO!NO!NO! You cannot lay claim to Simone AND Martin! It's just not cricket, Sir.

Wimp. I had cramp in that foxestalk game for the entire second half. We only had about 9 players by then so I soldiered on (and went on to score - go me). Sheehan OUT! TPH IN!
Toby or not Toby Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Allen was quoted in the Merc as saying it was severe cramp and how the squad were laughing as it looked like Sheehan had been shot by a sniper the way he went down but that there was nothing to worry about. I read that too

The People's Hero Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I notice it's described as 'severe' cramp. Sheehan - 'no one thinks I'm a wuss for going down with cramp, do they?' Rest of lads - 'Erm... no mate, it was really severe right?' Sheehan - 'Yeah - it hurt and everything - it was like growing pains - but much worse' Wussy.
Ric Flair Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Isn't anything North of Watford called Scotland? No, it's called North of Watford.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Scot·land (skŏt'lənd) Pronunciation Key A constituent country - MP to have his balls chewed off by a syphilitic whore Yes, and thats the important bit. It's part of the Country of The United Kingdom of Great Britian, it's a country within this country therefore not foreign and thats why you don't need to use your passport to get into it.

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 This is like when my parents used to argue when I was a kid. I'm finished now, I actually have no desire to carry on this discussion, especially when I am clearer right and Scotland cleary isn't abroad, how can it be if it's part of the same country as us.

Whereabouts in Malta do you live? I know the St Julians/Sliema area in particular really well.
