Guest Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 Do you want to get him to narrow it down? If I asked him, he'll say SnR.
Guest Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 But where's the beer with the lewd sounding name. At least Firkin pubs had proper beer.....
Wycombe Fox Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 I'm setting off for the game at 4.30 Friday morning to make sure I don't miss it (via work. a wake and my parent's house) Is there any pub near the ground that is child-friendly? I'd like to meet up with some of you if possible but I'll have my kids in tow! I'll be able to get on the site from Northampton tomorrow. Cheers. Up the City!!!

Dr The Singh Posted 10 August 2007 Posted 10 August 2007 Nobody go to The Western anymore? Not been since i used to go down with me Dad a fair few years back but was always the favourite haunt of David Neilsen aka Roy Cropper from Corrie. Used to be my local, but it's gone well down hill, half of the time the booze has ran out and the clientelle and service has been poo!! On match days it's get's too busy!!

On match days it's get's too busy!! The Western was Ok last season, although I tended to go there after games rather than before. Tomorrow I'll be going in the Gateway pre-match as I'll be with a couple of Spurs fans (who are coming to the City-Blackpool game afterwards).

I used to live around the corner form the weggo and was bought up around the bloody place, my old man and his mates used to drink there when i was a nipper, i've seen it from being one of the most busy pubs pre brauny gate etc to what now is a lame dump with ignorant bar staff!!! Ultra: Trust me within the last 6 months it's gone further downhill, it might be ok for a after match drink though!!!
