LCFCIMPS Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Agree with what Tommeh. We had some good chances first-half n could of been 3-1 up. From where i was standing, top of sw stand i can't see if dodds shot had gone in or not. bardford got back into the match just before half-time when great work by Omar Daley. He also had hand in 2nd. Maybe the best player on the pitch used his pace well. Bradford fans at end of match.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 At least he's getting some games and some goals. Does he take the free-kicks and penalties? Frecklington takes the free kicks, not so sure about Penalties. I got these messages from my mate who was there: "Doddsy woddsy! Scramble!" "It may not even have crossed the line. he's that good! Louis dodds, the new ruud?" He's a fan.
BigGibbo Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 I did say it made a change for Kelly to be right on something. As for Horsfield/Dodds I wish it were feasible to set up a bet on the issue. Cos I'd table a pretty hefty wedge if you fancied it. To me its like comparing Arkle with Dobbin. Unfortunately im inclined to believe Dodds has found his level at Lincoln
Tommy G Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Not that I saw no, they had a last minute free kick when he was off the field which Frecklington I think took.So I can't really answer that but I wouldn't have thought so, he's certainly not their main striker, slotting in behind the oldies of Stallard and Forrester hence why he mainly occupies wide areas, but like you say good to see him doing well. I'll try and pop down again before the new year if City havn't got a game and see how hes doing, word from Lincoln is that Dodds is very happy there and may be willing to sign due to the off field issues our club. Source? Secondly he want's to sign there because he knows he hasn't got a chance of making it at city. Good luck to the lad anyway, he could be a success in the lower divisions

Good luck to the lad anyway, he could be a success in the lower divisions From earlier in this thread In Friday's Lincolnshire Echo he said he was hoping Lincoln would make a contract offer because he didn't have a clue what his future would be at Leicester given Martin Allen's departure.
Thracian Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Just out of interest... why is Kelly's judgement spot on with Dodds... and garbage with everything else? You'd have to ask Kelly that.
Lord Nibblington Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 You'd have to ask Kelly that. Well... I'm asking you, since you wheel out the quote quite often as use it as gospel. Yet most people recognise that Kelly was clueless in most areas. Just seems something of a contadiction to me.
Eastern Fox Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 I don't understand why people think he's a bad player. He scored a hatful of goals at academy/reserve level, was successful on loan-that's usually enough to get at least one run-out in the first team from the bench. I think he's been unlucky not to get that. You can't tell that Lincoln is "his level" if he's never had an opportunity to play at a better club.
Geo V Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Well Done to the lad. Another goal to make it 3 in 5 in the league. Lets hope he continues to bang in the goals and continues to improve his all round game.
The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Just out of interest... why is Kelly's judgement spot on with Dodds... and garbage with everything else? Because it suits Thracian's argument to use warped logic.

Good old hooooooooofball! Thanks for the update on Dodds BTW.
Thracian Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 No goals for dodds oday in a 2-0 defeat. He came closest for Lincoln by hitting the post and NoW gave him a 7 rating.

Vennegoor10 Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Congrats to Louis are in order! girlfriend Jenny gave birth to little boy, joel Bartholemew this week!
ForestFilbert Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Is anybody else slightly perturbed by Martin Allen's attire on the TV today? Slightly dodgy in my opinion! I have arrived at the belief that Mr Mandaric sacked him due to his waistcoat collection. Any thoughts on my pointless observation? ps Hope Dodds gets some game time, never seen him in action before
Thracian Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Congrats to Louis are in order! girlfriend Jenny gave birth to little boy, joel Bartholemew this week! So pleased for both of them.
Geo V Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Congrats to Louis are in order! girlfriend Jenny gave birth to little boy, joel Bartholemew this week! He`s a bit young to start a family isnt he??!! Good on him though. As for him as a footballer he isnt setting the world alight yet is he? I didnt see the game but read some reports on todays game and if I am right, he wasnt deemed good enough to start and only made it to the bench, Lincoln then went one down and bought on two attacking players and he wasnt one of them and then bought on Jamie Forrester, another striker whilst Dodds stayed on the bench. That doesn't look so good.

Either that or falling completley out of favour which I would find strange, I would of thought he's good enough to get into their side. Ask Thracian he seems to quite disturbingly know alot about the lives of certain players both on and off the field.
