I've obviously watched him quite a few times (Channel 5 late night Supa Liga games were often watched at Uni) but aside from the name I remember nothing, so obviously he wasn't that good. The club hoping wouldn't of helped I'm increadible slow at keeping up with transfers. Or he was just a steady player. As I said, I only tend to remember players if i've only seen them a few times, if they've either been very good or very bad. The games i've seen him in, he impressed in patches hence remembering him quite well.

In any case, he's been capped by Portugal so that sort of suggest he's good enough to play in this division. If it's a loan we aren't going to have a JFH gimme loads of money situation as what we play will be negotiated with Benfica, so all should be good as long as he doesn't take to long to adapt.

What is a bit worrying is that there doesn't seem to be much competition for him so does that suggest an ala-Stearman fall from grace, if there was any.

If we can create about 50 pages on McLeod a player whom we seemingly never bid for but the tabloids managed to put two and two together with MA being his former manager, then we can at least have the courtesy of offering Marco half the pages. We`ll stop when we get to page 25

Surely any player signing for us from Benfica of all clubs is unlikely, it just doesn't happen..

Not so sure other clubs in the championship have brought in players from clubs with a similar profile, in fact didnt Southampton bring someone in on loan from Benfica?
