Well that's true, I suppose. But we are a much smaller club than Benfica and therefore perhaps Santos recommended Ferreira there as he's also been in talks with Mandaric to become the next manager. Marco Ferreira can play down the wings either left or right any portuguese winger plays both sides, it's pretty common, but at benfica he has been adapted as right back. he can also play as AMC, that's where he used to play at Setúbal and national team. he's a decent set pieces taker, not a great one, but sometimes he scores(not that he takes all the set pieces, otherwise i'd know it better) he's determinated, not very fast by now and overall he's above average, at least he used to be, i don't know by now, because he isn't a regular starter since some time. if he can help leicester it's a different story, a big part of portuguese players flop in England, completely different styles, so i can't say that he will be good or that he will suck

Speculative - never seen him play, but doubt he'll be shit if he played under José Mourinho. I think he was a Mourinho signing seeing as he joined them in 2003, with José starting the year before.

Poncho Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Shit for Benfica doesnt mean he'l be shit at this level. he barely played, he has been injured lots of time, and when he played for benfica, only 2 or 3 games were in the right position and cant remember any as starter. Benfica fans dont like him because he prefered Porto when we first wanted to sign him, when we signed him we stole him from porto, since Mourinho left he was being loaned out to other teams, so he wanted out, and signed for benfica on porto's back, what he didnt know is that it was a revenge signing by Benfica, and he wouldn't be played anyway.
