Geo V Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 I dont know much about him but as others have said, he plays for a good club and has International experience and more pleasing to me is that we would have first choice to buy him for £550k which in todays modern market is peanuts. Lets hope he is that bit of creativity that we are looking for.
mancunianfox Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Pssst. Paulo Ferreira plays for Chelsea EDIT: I see you had a quick edit Very quick edit. Just searched the article for surname and didn't check the first name until after I'd posted it. He did sign Marco as well though. Oops.
Fox in a Box Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Benfica midfielder Marco Ferreira is set to join Leicester on a season-long loan. Ferreira has fallen down the pecking order at Benfica in recent months and does not figure in Fernando Santos' plans for the coming campaign. Benfica had considered loaning Ferreira out to another Portuguese club but, according to reports in the country, he will now join Leicester until June 2008. The Championship club would then have the option to buy Ferreira for 800,000 euros (£550,000). Ferreira told the Portuguese press: "Today England is a big market and I hope to relaunch my career there." Leicester manager Martin Allen has been busy rebuilding his squad since taking charge at The Walkers Stadium and has so far made 14 signings. Skysports!

Lillehamring Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 A right winger?? I thought we needed a left, I know Newton isnt that good but remember all the hype over Kaebi?? I thought he would be playing there and Chambers RB! if he plays right wing, kaebi drops to right back, chambers to left back, mattock (why the hell not) to LM.... welcome to the LCFC mery-go-round!
filbertway Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Please tell me he's an attacking midfielder. Attacking midfielder/left winger would be awesome. [steretype]He's portugese so he's obviously attacking[/stereotype]
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Although I know nothing about him, the initial thought of a man with a meditteraneon name signing made a tiny nugget of poo squirmish it's way out of my anus
STUHILL Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 if he plays right wing, kaebi drops to right back, chambers to left back, mattock (why the hell not) to LM.... welcome to the LCFC mery-go-round! Chambers doesn't look half as good at LB though!
Tabou Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 He has a foreign sounding name so he must be superb Maybe he will come to Leicester, have a season here, and leave to take control of Lazio! Remember Mancinni or however its spelt He was a fun guy!
MBK Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Although I know nothing about him, the initial thought of a man with a meditteraneon name signing made a tiny nugget of poo squirmish it's way out of my anus Hope your mum's up to mine in standard of patience then. Or whoever does your washing.
martyn Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 I've not been as excited about a transfer since we shelled out for Franck Rolling. Say yes to foreign names.

Ones that resemble nice sports cars, not the 'ings' of hell, nor ones that instruct the male offspring of a man to get on his knees, Jimmy Neilson
bigjonnyauk Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 I've not been as excited about a transfer since we shelled out for Franck Rolling. Say yes to foreign names. yes looking forward to this but how much do you think it will cost to have his full name on the back of a shirt Marco Júlio Castanheira Afonso Alves Ferreira
morris1234 Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Ferreira hes 29, ok scoring record and he won the champs league with mourinho and porto!
Geo V Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...t=0&start=0 £550K on a permanent deal! Surely he cant quite be world class for that price Anyway, get him in as Mediterranean people are the way forward.

Nick Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 I've not been as excited about a transfer since we shelled out for Franck Rolling. Say yes to foreign names. So he's a right winger. Welcome. Does this mean Kaebi will play right back? Or does this mean the Prince of Persia is actually another crap signing from our sacked scouts? Red Penguin Avatars Supporters Required.
Kilworthfox Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...t=0&start=0£550K on a permanent deal! Surely he cant quite be world class for that price Anyway, get him in as Mediterranean people are the way forward. I know who he is! He is an attacking right midfielder! I thought he played for Porto but lets not get carried away! Decent signing, no one playes at that champs leauge standard and is awful!
Nick Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Hope your mum's up to mine in standard of patience then. Or whoever does your washing. Don't be led down the cow path my friend. Nothing but trouble there.
martyn Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 I'm slightly more convinced about Kae'bi considering the good words from various sources (10 most promising players in WSM etc) rather than the recent acquisition from Amateur starlets ABO Appleorchard, Sergio Hellings.
The People's Hero Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 So he's a right winger.Welcome. Does this mean Kaebi will play right back? Or does this mean the Prince of Persia is actually another crap signing from our sacked scouts? Red Penguin Avatars Supporters Required. As a fellow red penguin man, I agree with everything you just said.
