Babylon Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Looks pretty sweet! £199 not bad for touch screen with Wi-Fi
Mark Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Touch would be amazing if it was bigger than 16GB, shame.
MPH Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 The new Ipod Nano *looks at old ipod nano*....... i want a new one!!!!
Jay Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Touch would be amazing if it was bigger than 16GB, shame. exactly my thoughts!!! I already have more than that on my current IPOD hardly encourages me to buy one!! great idea but to limited!!
Babylon Posted 5 September 2007 Author Posted 5 September 2007 Must not buy.... must not buy.... Oh fook it i'm getting touch(ed) tonight. exactly my thoughts!!!I already have more than that on my current IPOD hardly encourages me to buy one!!great idea but to limited!!8gb is plenty really, you're just being lazy it takes a minute to change albums!!!
potter3 Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 16GB would be plenty for me, so would 8GB really, my library is getting near to the limit of my iPod at the minute though
Matt Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Tis nice! But as already said its doesn't hold enough. I'm on my second iPod after my 1st one broke, I only got my new iPod at Christmas so wouldn't buy one of these new ones just yet anyway, when comes to buying a new iPod/MP3 e.t.c, I may go away from Apple/iPod, Not sure I have looked at the Creative Zen and been told they are better and less things go wrong with them. Thing is iPod has got the fashion statement and looks! And to be fair, yes my 1st one bust but not had that much trouble with mine, not compared to the troubles people have had.
Tommeh Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Yesss!! I was waiting for a new one to come out, I'll certainly be purchasing one, as my current 2 are well and truely done in!
samingram_uk Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 How many Ipod's have their been? I know, Bill's making his money ai.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 I know,Bill's making his money ai. What? Where does Bill Gates come into this? He's not in charge of everything electrical you know.
Anish Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Yesss!!I was waiting for a new one to come out, I'll certainly be purchasing one, as my current 2 are well and truely done in! No offence, but if you've had 2 ipods that are well and truly done in, why would you purchase a third? Have they worn out due to low upkeep/maintenance or do they just stop working after a while? I've had my current Sony mp3 player, which is admittedly a brick by today's standards, for well over 2 years and it still works fine. I won't be changing it until it falls to pieces, although there's not much sign of that yet. Still, the new ipods look funky. It won't be long before its competitors follow suit, much like Creative's Zen which is a blatant copy of the ipod.
Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Looks pretty sweet! £199 not bad for touch screen with Wi-Fi That looks lovely. I may well have to invest. Time to research it.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 8gb is plenty really, you're just being lazy it takes a minute to change albums!!! Not if your computer with all your music on is over two hours away!! Or if you have about 5 gig of photos backed up on it!!

I've had a green mini 4gb since it 1st came out and it still works ok, just a bit bruised from a few drops and a nano from nearly 2 years ago which works fine until I take it off my doccing system after that it wont turn off so the battery just runs dead after about 4 hours whether i'm using it or not. Probably poor maintenence if I'm honest but I do get a big amount of use out of them It's very rare when i'm not listeing to one for 3/4 hours in a day so their worth it. These new ones do look the business.
potter3 Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 I know,Bill's making his money ai. Steve? Not aiming this at you but everyone keeps going on about how the iPod has so many problem etc but I've had mine 2+ years and the only problem I had was when I had to reset it before I dropped it from about 6ft onto concrete And all the poeple I know who own iPod havn't had any problems.
lookwhaticando Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Touch is a logical step forward for the iPod range. It moves closer to the iPhone which is essentially a scaled up iPod... so for the iPod range itself to follow surprises nobody. The touchy bit is great... but the wifi connectivity will grab the attention of plenty of people... particularly this side of the pond where wifi is widespread. Touch will no doubt get a larger drive at some point in the future... it's not uncommon for the iPod range to double it's capacity at some point. Look for a 32GB touch in the future... or at least a 20GB version before too long. [/vapid prediction of the day]
Babylon Posted 6 September 2007 Author Posted 6 September 2007 Not if your computer with all your music on is over two hours away!!Or if you have about 5 gig of photos backed up on it!! Don't store 5 gig of photos on a music player, get an external and move your computer.
Kent Fox Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Touch is a great idea, but seriously, it's not that bleedin' difficult to spin a click wheel is it? It's a gadget and whilst I am the most gullible person in the world for a gadget, you gotta stick to the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Thanks but no thanks. I'll stick to my (full) 60GB Video, which I have had for a while now with no probs.
samingram_uk Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 What?Where does Bill Gates come into this? He's not in charge of everything electrical you know. I thought Bill Gates owned iTunes
Kent Fox Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 In fact, after an email from Apple this morning, here is my next iPod: Oooh, Lovely!
Bojimha Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 The ipod touch looks awesome I'm gonna get that for sure. I only have a 2gb nano at the moment which holds enough stuff for me while on the move so 8gb is fantastic for me. I don't see why some people need to take their whole library with them? I just usually create a few playlists and sync them. It looks like it has basically got all the features of the iphone except obviously the phone part and the camera. Roll on pay day!
oO RUSTYNAIL Oo Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Hmmm, i knwo this has nothing to do with this topic but i just thought that you should all have a look at this, it looks awsome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1buy3N_Fvsg This shows how much technology has come along over the past 20years
