ASH17LCFC Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Well done a typical thinks he is a superstar already and turned down the chance to play with the U21 because he needed a rest. BULLSPIT more like he thinks he is too good for them and was waiting to be picked for the senior team. Loads of players would love to play for the U21 and would have joined if they had played 100 games the season before. Look at Theo Walcot was in the england squad for the world cup, yet when the U21 come calling he plays and gives it is all.
Brainy Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Booing a player who plays for your 'team'? Its pathetic.

Joe. Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Booing a player who plays for your 'team'?Its pathetic. I agree. I hate it.
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 No turning down the chance to play for your country is UTTER BOLLOCKS. Seems most of wembley felt the same way as me.
Mort Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Totally uncalled for IMHO and utterly unfair, it might have been a bit of a bullshit excuse when he didn't play for the under 21s - but he's a class player and there's no reason for the kind of treatment that got meted out to him, then again in the absence of Lampard i suppose the idiot tendency needed someone to abuse

Mort Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Well seems alot of idiots where in wembley stadium today then. There usually are at England games.
Bryn Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 They were probably the same people who booed Phil Neville and prior to that, the Israeli national anthem. ****s.
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 Yes they pay there money and they can voice their opinion.
Brainy Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Yes they pay there money and they can voice their opinion. And their opinion in my opinion is total bullshit.
BigGibbo Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 I did think Bentley was out of order by turning down England under 21's like Chris Sutton turning down the England b-team I never liked him again after that. But he shouldn't of been bood on his England debut that was pathetic
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 Here is a bloke on £20.000 a week who couldn't be arsed to represent his country at u21 level preferring to enjoy his 12 week fully paid summer holiday. The man is a total self absorbed twat who fully deserved to hear the feelings of the paying supporter.
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Did we win? Well jocky hocky sticks, wheres my jester hat and face paint? Did watch scotland though, they played ok can't believe they are top of that group, fans were awesome again.
filbertway Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 He's 23 anyway, it's utter bollocks that he should be allowed to play for the UNDER 21's. Yeh.
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 Still he had the chance TO PLAY FOR HIS COUNTRY AND HE SAID NO. I always like watching Scotland the fans are great and they really go out to win the game from the first whistle.
Tommy G Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 It's only because fatty Lamps wasn't playing. The boo-boys had to target someone. Whoever is on the pitch you should back them really, it's what 'support' is all about. Anyway, they were probably booing him for the dodgy hair cut he had that looked to be cut by Stevie Wonder rather than the U'21's saga Saying that Bentley is an arrogant f****r
Milky Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 It was tongue in cheek really. They only booed the first time he touched it.
davieG Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 It was tongue in cheek really. They only booed the first time he touched it. What his cheek
AyewJoking Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 It affected his confidence in a negative way but he shouldnt have snubbed the U21's in the first place. Hope the fans leave him alone from now on.
Floating Fox Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Well seems alot of idiots where in wembley stadium today then. Fact.
Floating Fox Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 In my opinion should of booted the ball first chance he got into a block and walked off head held high. What a complete wank-fested country I live in.
Anish Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 England fans really are an embarrasment - every coutnry's national anthem is booed at every game, then the boo-boys target one of our own players (usually "fat" Frank, and today Phil Neville and Bentley). Bentley had every right to pull out of the U21s - he'd just played 40/50 games in his first full season as a regular first team player and didn't want to burn out. Fair play I say. He'd played enough games for the U21s and it's not like the Under 21 championships are that important anyway. To all the boo-boys out there saying Bentley should never have turned down his country - would you boo Jamie Carragher or Paul Scholes if they came out of international retirement? I doubt it, yet they did exactly the same thing i.e. said they didn't want to play for their country.
