I don't envisage great things for us tomorrow. The last game against these cnuts holds some bad memories for me. Obviously I'd love us to win, but I cannae see it happening, if I'm honest. I hope to be pleasantly suprised, come 4:45 tomorrow afternoon.

Yes, yes it was, my slightly older amigo. :( On St Patrick's day no less!! :(

Oh how I'd love for us to get a win tomorrow. I'm seriously tempted to waste a fiver betting on QPR to win. Whoever I bet on always loses so it's a strong possibility at the moment.

This is why a win tomorrow is especially important to me, though if I had to choose between a win tomorrow or a win on Tuesday night, I'd be stuck! Whatever happens tomorrow, I hope we don't go out and just roll over like we did in the second half of last season's home game against them. If we're physical, we compete the way we did against Watford and get out of the blocks quickly as opposed to sluggishly as per usual, we'll be fine.

tis the good aspect of having a new manager come in(im not saying getting rid of MA was good by the way!)

The players all start off on an even keel.

Out to prove what they can do.Players who MA didnt fancy(Fryatt,Porter?) all have a chnace to show what they can do.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow,so we'll probably lose 2-1 :(:D

2-1 is the prediction I think I've made for this game in the competition forum (I'll have to check in a minute). If Megson comes in and favours the hooofball tactics it's speculated he'll use, expect de Vries and Cort to start upfront when both are fit, as they're big men who are supposedly capable of holding up the ball better than the shorter players.

There are a few people worldwide who wish they were down at Filbert Way today.

I don't give shit who the manager is.

The only thing that matters to me is the 11 players in the Royal Blue.

Looking forward to the prospect of seeing Ferreira play today, and hope he starts. He should do the job of tearing up the QPR defence nicely. Was actually feeling quite negative after the appointment of Megson, but am just going to forget about it all now and look forward to a decent performance by the lads. Am quietly confident of a 2-1 victory; Humey and N'Gotty bagging the goals.

Not very optimistic about today but I really do hope to be proved wrong. The team selection will obviously be critical and if it is Rudkin etc I'd expect to see the same sort of side from our "sterling point" at Plymouth.

The manager may be different, a couple of the selections may also differ from Watford apart from the obvious (Clarke) but one things for sure, I still feel that the squad we have is good enough for promotion and just needs steering to its destiny. I don't think that Megson is bad enough to actually cock things up as he has been handed a very very solid base to show what he has.

With all that being said, I plan on witnessing a morale boosting win today and will stick to my 3-1 prediction.

I'm leaving for City at 11am and I trust when I get to the stadium that my fellow City fans will be cheering the team on and not aiming anger at Megson or MM! Heres to hoping!

COME ON LEICESTER!

QPR fans are not very optimistic either! ;)

From QPR forums:

The Preview

Leicester City is something of a magical opponent for us, at least over recent years. I think Jamie Cureton managed a goal at their place once, for example. And just a few months ago, while I was lounging around on a sunny, tiny island called Veligandu, miracles were occurring. The much-criticised but bizarrely loveable Marc Nygaard was stroking home a penalty with the sort of graceful confidence you wish he would showcase more often in the box, Inigo Idiakez scored his one goal, and a vital one, during his short stay with us, and finally Nygaard once more left mouths agape. Only Dexter Blackstock's stunning strike against Preston stopped Nygaard's second at Leicester from being goal of the season. A long punt, a Furs flick on and then there was Marc, 6'5 of sizzling Danish muscle, loping onto it before oscillating his right leg in the arc of a perfect golf swing to boomshakalack the ball over the keeper and into the top corner. Of course, he does that all the time in training.

Then there was that phenomenal game at LR in our first season back at this level. We were playing well, but found ourselves 2-0 down at half time as perennial thorn in our side Scowcroft snatched one before Connolly curled home a beauty just before half time. But then things began to change. First Connolly was sent off and then as pressure began to build Cookie swooped to score at the far post. With 20 minutes left Furs banged in an equaliser and LR was rocking like we were playing Oldham on a warm May evening. But Furs wasn't finished. He was running poor Martin Keown into the ground (Keown looked like a caveman who'd been fighting, and losing the fight, against some prehistoric beast all day) and finally in injury time, Leicester snapped. A Cookie cross and at the far post Furs headed home another iconic goal. A superb photo of his reaction, screaming up at the leaden skies and about to be mobbed by Bircham, was taken by a nearby photographer and is now seared in my memory.

Leicester, like ourselves, have had an odd start to the season. They bought something like 43 players in pre-season as Martin Allen spent money like a lottery winner who only has a few weeks to live. Funny that. He was fired after just four games in charge. Milan Mandaric is not a man who gels well with managers. However, at least some of Allen's buys were not half bad. DJ Campbell is dangerous if over-priced and Stephen Clemence is a consistently decent player at this level. City have now confirmed Gary Megson as their new boss - he won't last long. The chances of him and Mandaric getting along are about equal to the chances of us appointing Fabio Cappello as our next boss. But Megson is fundamentally decent, even if his tactics are staid and safe, they generally work and he achieved two promotions from this league with WBA. His record at Forest, however, bears no comparison at all.

We are all of a tizz at the moment to put it mildly. Short on confidence, still getting over the tragic loss of a team-mate, the manager under fire already as fans suddenly have the possibility of success dangled in front of their greedy little chops, and brand new owners who are used to fast success. Things will not start improving fast.

Prediction

Our confidence is rock bottom. Leicester have a new manager and therefore new impetus. I'm afraid I cannot see anything other than another heavy defeat. 3-0 to City.

Bet on this

A double of DJ Campbell to score first and City to win 3-0 is an attractive 50/1 shot. If you're more confident that I am, the hugely talented Ben Sahar is a generous 8-1 and at some point he will single-handedly destroy a team. All at Bet365.
