Jimmy Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Dick cant be arsed to spell our own players names correctly then you really should shut the fook up. it really pisses me off, its the same with McAuley, ffs people is it really so hard to remember our OWN players names?
Geo V Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 We have seen with high profile players coming back from injury like Michael Owen needing games to be match fit and thats what Cort seemingly needs. The fact that he was made to stay on for 90 mins was ridiculous as he should have been taken off on the hour mark for fresher legs. Back to Cort, lets see what he is like when he is totally match fit.

Story of his career I suppose.
lcfc_jme Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Send Karl Kort off to the reserves for a few weeks to gain some sort of match fitness and then bring him back if he impresses.

And then we back to square one with Carl.Story of his career I suppose. It seems his little niggles and injuries he has picked us in recent times have nothing to do with his long term injury (directly) but he needs match fitness. The thing that I don't get is why we are allowing him to gain that fitness when we have a reserve side. I would have been inclined to have him as a sub today and then start him against Florist which for me is a game of less importance, regardless of how many people want to make it out to be some grudge match or major game.

I agree. Its poor management and decision making by Rudkin or whoever called the shots today. It would've been more appropriate to unleash him against Forest.
Bert Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Great in the air. Poor touch. Shite at shooting.

More like a poor man's Trevor Benjamin!

I personally never called him a poor mans MDV but please read the context of my point before making silly judgments as I wasn't referring to Cort and Owen`s abilities as players, simply talking about match sharpness and fitness.
Ultra Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I never said you called him a poor man's MDV - it's a comment that others made on the thread. I saw the point you were trying to make, but bringing Owen's name into discussion doesn't do Cort any favours.

All I was saying was he needs match fitness before we can make a judgment and used the highest profile example that I could of someone who looked so bad that some experts were saying that he was finished when all it was that he needed games!
Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 cant be arsed to spell our own players names correctly then you really should shut the fook up. Have to give Court the benefit of the doubt,as it was his first start and he does need to get match fit. Where were Kiebai and Friat??

Dick And as for giving him time, that's fair play. Just angered me that he got so much of it yesterday.
