Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Interesting, never out the headlines eh! Right reasons this time tho ........now lets do these feckin trees!
biggs Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 I read the thing yesterday about giving up a goal and am pleased that fairplay still won over even if it is Forest. Hey it's better to be 1-0 down with 89 to play than 45. We're still at an advantage.
Brainy Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 We'll still get the same shit from Forest fans.
AyewJoking Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Tactical brillance? Forest are under pressure now.
Forest Rob Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 As I have stated in the match thread-well done Leicester. After this game, best wishes for the rest of this season (though with Megson in charge you will need it!). Thanks from all genuine Forest and indeed football fans.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Is there any chance we may throw this game in good faith for them postponing the match I made that about 10 hours before kick off ha
josedob Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 It could be because the work day is closing to an end for me and my brain has turned to mush ........ but I'm still struggling to see how that is fair play? Player goes down injured - kick out of bounds to give back possession. Fair play. That I understand. Giving up a goal? Granted it's not the same situation - but if game were called for natural/weather reasons - would the same have occurred?? ......that's probably the beauty of it - it's not the same situation. Would love to hear the reasoning why you think it's fairplay.

Would love to hear the reasoning why you think it's fairplay. Forest could have kicked up a fuss and insisted that the 2nd half be played, because it was "just an injury". In the aftermath, they could have moaned that the match should be awarded to them. They didn't. They recognised that the Leicester players and management were in shock, and in no fit state to play on. They assisted all they could. Reason enough, I think.
Stuliasz Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Very good gesture. Completely voids any post-match moans from the trees after they lose.
josedob Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Suppose that makes sense.... suppose it just goes against my competitive nature. It truy was a shocking time. Agreed.....fairplay.
FilboFox Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 1-0 City on the night! COME ON YOU FOXES!!!
Nationwider Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 I don't think it's a matter of this being the right or wrong thing to do. It was a great gesture by LCFC. On another night, Clive Clarke might not have survived his heart failure and we wouldn't even be contemplating playing this match.
Vacamion Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 It was the right thing to do. Especially seeing as we won anyway.
Bojimha Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Fantastic sportsmanship, stops them being able to make up excuses afterwards.
