Daggers Posted 18 September 2007 Author Posted 18 September 2007 Anyone listening to 5Live? Once more: Mandaric, TNBD & Megson I am SO proud of my club for doing that. So proud.
Nationwider Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 I don't see what all the fuss is about. We have been gifting teams a 1-0 lead for years
MC Prussian Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 At first, I was like WTF. I had never seen anything like it in football before. But then again, we won, showed some tremendous amount of fairplay and sportsmanship. This move can but help the squad, the club and the fans. A win-win-win situation. Oh, and we're playing Villa in the next round. Add another win then.
Daggers Posted 18 September 2007 Author Posted 18 September 2007 Oh, and we're playing Villa in the next round. A game I can walk to
SystonFox Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 A game I can walk to you gotta get a ticket 1st. i think there may be queue's outside the walkers tomorrow.
Thracian Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 That did show a bit of class whether we had lost the game as a result or not. A gesture that will be remembered for years to come. And become a quiz question I'm sure along with the goalkeeper scoring. But was Megson involved? That wasn't the story going around inside the stadium.
Flynny Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 That did show a bit of class whether we had lost the game as a result or not.A gesture that will be remembered for years to come. And become a quiz question I'm sure along with the goalkeeper scoring. But was Megson involved? That wasn't the story going around inside the stadium. Was the story going round that Megson was a knobend and the goalkeeper had sliced though our defence like a knife through butter? I swear I've heard more complete morons and racists tonight than all the other games I've been to put together.
SystonFox Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 on BBC website it said Megson spoke to CC 20 mins before KO to discuss it. however Peacefullred said he heard a rumuor about it earlier and whacked £5on Smith to score 1st. strange situation but what would have happened had we lost 1-0 on the night? would we all be so happy? or if clems goal hadnt gone in, and we lose on pens with smith scoring the winner? its all a bit fairytale that but i wouldnt be so pleased it it had come true.
Ultra Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Anyone listening to 5Live?Once more: Mandaric, TNBD & Megson I am SO proud of my club for doing that. So proud. So proud, you couldn't be f****ng arsed to be there! First club in English football history to win with a handicap. Don't think it'll win us promotion though..
Smudge Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Very proud of Leicester for doing that........I Zingari suggested it three weeks ago and I absolutely agreed with him.
Daz.I Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Now excuses now for Forest , Get in there bring on the Villa
Alexikokopops Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 So proud, you couldn't be f****ng arsed to be there! Does that count for everyone who couldn't make it? Or just to people who you don't like?
Bert Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Brilliant gesture, well done Leicester City football club.
The Reverend Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Brilliant gesture, well done Leicester City football club. Yep, well said. And we only went and beat them aswel!
Tommeh Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 At the time I couldn't believe we did it, but now I realise it was a great gesture and makes the victory even better.
potter3 Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Why did noone seem to notice it around me? then they wouldn't believe me
MPH Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 it seems with some forest fans nothing you can do is good enough... low intelligence... never happy except when moaning.. northlondontree Posted on 18/9 20:07 Email this Message | Reply re: head start ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i think it's bloody ridiculous actually. Either fester should have conceded the first game or they should play it properly. No doubt if they end up losing 1-0 they'll say they let us win!! Megson out!? ha ha but we didnt end up losing...

Alexikokopops Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Pull ya head in, I didn't fly 50 hour round trip to be there does that mean i can't be arsed? You could've had a half hour stop at Kuala Lumpur both ways, stop making excuses!!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 You could've had a half hour stop at Kuala Lumpur both ways, stop making excuses!! Would have prefered half an hour stop over in Bangkok
Geo V Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 I was late in listening to the game tonight as I had a bit of a gathering at mine but heard about the gesture at half-time when the lads were talking about it. Its amazing really and must set a precedent because there have been untold games that have been abandoned, usually for bad weather or floodlight failure that just get replayed with 0-0 and not a glimmer of a suggestion that a "free" goal would be given. BTW, had we lost 2-1 without those late goals, Im sure we wouldn't see the decision in such a friendly way would we?! Also this has cost plenty of fans money who gamble on football games on us on the first goal scorer hasn't it?! I suppose it will be good to get some positive publicity on this one just like Di canio got when catching a cross that he could have scored from but saw an injured player in the peno box.
BigGibbo Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I was well chuffed about it seemed to be the ony one though
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 It was the right thing to do i reckon given the circumstances
