My Bros at the game just texted me

I remember Martin Allens comments

How dare Megson slate the players before the game, it's about boosting confidence and getting the best from your players.

Allen had his chance, seemingly took it, against watford, then he got sacked.

What were we, 9th when Martin Allen left? And having just enjoyed a 4-1 against Watford. Now we're happy to celebrate the fact that we're competing. Not making any particular impression but competing nevertheless.

It should be fun when MM meets the fans.

I'm more and more convinced Allen wasnt sacked because of results or style of play, but simply because of a bust up with some of the playing and non playing staff at the club... if Allen were still i place i dont know if we'd win or not but I'd be confident we'd give it a damn good try and at least be positive in our approach! :@:rolleyes:

sounds like Megson tactic to me. Milan has ruined this club's chances this season by sacking Allen and appointing Megson

I'm not sure that's true, much as I liked the bloke.

His mistake may well have been in appointing Gary Megson.

I'd agree, as i say don't think results were what did for Allen but "politics"... as it is i think he was in a position where MM flet he had to go, but my god why Megson!?
