Master Fox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 One Gary Megson, There's only one Gary Megson....One Gary Megson..!!!!! There you go Milan, feels good now??? I'm not an MA fan either i might add.
Thracian Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Yes i was right. Make some changes! What exactly would you do? We don't have attacking wide players like Kaebi or Porter. We don't have a creative midfielder like King Seems to me we've got to try something radical like the two big men and midfielders trying to get forward to join them. But if we going to keep letting throw-ins bound in our penalty box and we're going to be second to the ball within 18 yards of goal we're always going to have trouble.
Master Fox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 What exactly would you do? I'd head for the pub. Or get the tube into central London.
teblin Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Get them to have a right good go 2nd half and then sign a left back on monday.
chesterfox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 What exactly would you do? make them play as they did v Watford???
Simon Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Villa next. Woohoo!! More beatings!!! I was going to go to the Villa match. I'm not now. Now does everyone see why I was labeling that line up a joke? The Midfield features two defenders and one attacker who's playing deeper than I've ever heard. And yet it isn't like we don't have options in these areas is it? Am I missing something?

Wycombe Fox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 sorry guys got not no humour to keep me going - this is depressing. Saw us v Watford and thought we could put in a serious challenge and in the space of a few weeks we're reduced to this. It sounds shit and is probably 10 times worse. Normally I like to stay positive but I am seriously tired of listening and watching these performances. Me too mate. I'm beginning to feel exactly like I did last season and the one before - no hope of achieving anything other than managing to avoid relegation two or three games before the end of the season. I was totally full of optimism at the start of the season. I thought we'd made some reasonable signings, I was happy with Martin Allen and I thought that we played quite well against Blackpool and on any other day would have scored at least three goals. We put four past Watford then it all goes t*ts up! Clive Clarke has heart failure, Allen gets the sack (whatever anyone says about mutual agreement - b*ll*cks - he was sacked), as fans we're kept completely in the dark and then we appoint Gary Megson - all within 2/3 weeks. Not entirely happy with GM and would rather have persevered with MA but I'll give him a chance. Milan must be shifting uneasily in his seat already - this game sounds crap from City's point of view. Same old same old!
Milky Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 What exactly would you do? Well, for starters i would've had Kaebi at right mid, Chambers at right back, N gotty at CB, Sheehan at left back, Ferreira at left mid, kishishev at CM, Hume up front alongside De Vries. Obviously that's irrelevant to the current situation. From that though you can probably see what i'd do with the players available. EDIT: Wouldn't it be funny if he keeps the same team and they turn it around! Here's hoping!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 The leaves haven't yet fallen from the trees and it looks like we're fighting a relegation battle. Unless there is a mighty turn around in the 2nd half that's another one down the drain. We are sounding painfully exposed all over the place, not least in the Boardroom. Starting to get very angry with Mandy right now. Decision making capacity = zero. Abilty to screw up all over the place = 100. Bright side: The Sheep Shaggers are in for a tonking at the Arse. But even that doesn't console me these days. I'm down and getting lower by the minute. This is the last three seasons all over again with a slightly slicker PR machine.
Lillehamring Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Sounds awful! Glad i dint go! Dreading Villa if we defend like this i've seen carew play a few times for norway, and he is awesome, big, strong, fast and skillful, he will score a hatful if we play as we are playing today... somehow, tho, i think we will play much better against villa than we are playing today
Mark Posted 22 September 2007 Author Posted 22 September 2007 Sheehan and Hume off for N'Gotty and Kishishev

Simon Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 agreed - I have been proved wrong - I am sure Megson will however blame the players They have to take some of the fault- two of the mistakes by our centre backs. But Megson has to take his share of the blame. Hume and Sheehan off, N'Gotty and Kish on? Kisnorbo playing left back? That's it, let's go for even less width...

It is hard to understand what's going wrong with such generalised analysis. But while I've become resigned to Kisbnorbo/Mcauley at centre-back they really don't seem convincing to me, or mobile enough, whenever we're under clever pressure. I mentioned how they were in trouble when Forest played the ball on the floor in and around our box and Charlton would seem to have done their homework. Two defensive players on now at the expense of two attackers. Sounds wonderful. Glad N'Gotty's on though. Kisnorbo left back? You've got to be joking.
Daggers Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Sheehan and Hume off for N'Gotty and Kishishev The line-up now leaves me speechless
chesterfox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 I DON'T THINK mEGSON HAS THE PLAYERS WITH HIM AT ALL
Thracian Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 The line-up now leaves me speechless Totally beyond belief.
