Without wanting to sound dis-tasteful, is Ramadam a good dieting technique? I might pioneer it to the public like that Atkins chap. Could do with a few quid to spend on ale, fags and pizza's.

some people get fatter durning ramadan. because they eat like crazy at the evning when they can eat.

I'll go in with you.

All we need is a natty jingle and the stupidfolk of Englandshire will be all over this in an instant.

i sense an appearance in the next series of dragon's den!!

I used to play football while fasting when I was younger, but then again I was a complete lunatic back then. I had too much energy for my own good.

At ameteur level is hard, so imagine what's like at professional level.

How long is Ramadan?

I gain weight every Ramadan. I loose it though again by Christmas. And since its Eid tomorrow or Saturday, there'll be enough food for all you FT members in my house.

The question then, of course, would be, why are they playing him at all during Ramadan?

There are many other muslim players who play football at this time of month. Look at Anelka, probably fasting, I don't know. But he's putting in fine performances every week in the Premiership.

i guess everyones body is different. maybe some people retain energy better, some burn it up quicker. matabalism levels are different in everyone...

It ends this week anyway.

All you c*nts are invited to my house. By the time you gone, there'll still be some left overs.

We eat like a bunch of ****ing horses.

I know.

Kolo Toure is another one that pops into my head who's muslim, but may or may not fast. I wouldn't know.

No he doesn't, he claims god (ala) will understand.

I think he's going to burn in hell personally.

That's up to him anyway.

Freddy Kanoute (I think) was saying something along those lines as well.

When Thracian was banging on about various youth teamers last season, saying that they should be in the first team, a lot of people, me included, said that if they were good enough they'd be in the first team already.

Now Kaebi can't get a game for the first team it's all down to the manager's stupidity. In fact to read some people's posts you'd think it's all Thracians fault that he's not playing.

EDIT; I wondered who'd be the first to spot that deliberate mistake
