Teammelli Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Without wanting to sound dis-tasteful, is Ramadam a good dieting technique? I might pioneer it to the public like that Atkins chap. Could do with a few quid to spend on ale, fags and pizza's. some people get fatter durning ramadan. because they eat like crazy at the evning when they can eat.
MPH Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 I'll go in with you.All we need is a natty jingle and the stupidfolk of Englandshire will be all over this in an instant. i sense an appearance in the next series of dragon's den!!
BigGibbo Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 I used to play football while fasting when I was younger, but then again I was a complete lunatic back then. I had too much energy for my own good.At ameteur level is hard, so imagine what's like at professional level. How long is Ramadan?
Koke Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 some people get fatter durning ramadan. because they eat like crazy at the evning when they can eat. I gain weight every Ramadan. I loose it though again by Christmas. And since its Eid tomorrow or Saturday, there'll be enough food for all you FT members in my house.
Koke Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 The question then, of course, would be, why are they playing him at all during Ramadan? There are many other muslim players who play football at this time of month. Look at Anelka, probably fasting, I don't know. But he's putting in fine performances every week in the Premiership.
MPH Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 How long is Ramadan? lasts a month usually ending in the celebration of 'Eid' So they get to Eid lots and lots of food. *groans* i know... poor joke..

Koke Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 It ends this week anyway. All you c*nts are invited to my house. By the time you gone, there'll still be some left overs. We eat like a bunch of ****ing horses.

Koke Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Yea but not all muslims do faste at ramadan. I know. Kolo Toure is another one that pops into my head who's muslim, but may or may not fast. I wouldn't know.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 I know. Kolo Toure is another one that pops into my head who's muslim, but may or may not fast. I wouldn't know. No he doesn't, he claims god (ala) will understand. I think he's going to burn in hell personally.
Koke Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 That's up to him anyway. Freddy Kanoute (I think) was saying something along those lines as well.

We eat like a bunch of ****ing horses. whats that stuff called you dip the bread into? like a green spice with sesame seeds. you put the bread into olive oil, then into the pot with the stuff in.. its well nice.. so is falafel. love it!
Koke Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Falafel is some legendary stuff. First time I ate it was in Egypt in 1993 and I been having it ever since.
Ric Flair Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 some people get fatter durning ramadan. because they eat like crazy at the evning when they can eat. A bit like the Atkins, that Atkins chap was a right chubber.
Ric Flair Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 FAtkins?Yeah, he was fat. Dalian Atkinson, big boy he was.
Webbo Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 When Thracian was banging on about various youth teamers last season, saying that they should be in the first team, a lot of people, me included, said that if they were good enough they'd be in the first team already. Now Kaebi can't get a game for the first team it's all down to the manager's stupidity. In fact to read some people's posts you'd think it's all Thracians fault that he's not playing. EDIT; I wondered who'd be the first to spot that deliberate mistake
