Collier Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 I've heard some Augustana, bit bland for my liking, Stars & Boulevards wasn't a bad track though.
Joe. Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 You've got a shocking deal with those support acts mate! Think Muse should more than make up for it though.
Collier Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Ambulance Ltd, Butterfly Explosion, American Football, Built To Spill, Band Of Horses, French Kicks, The Grammatics
Joe. Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Ambulance Ltd, Butterfly Explosion, American Football, Built To Spill, Band Of Horses, French Kicks, The Grammatics No The, but nonetheless. Excellent debut album.
Collier Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Yeah, a mate got me into them, quite like what I've heard from them, one or two belters. *Haha, apologies for the 'The.'

Collier Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Big fan of both these. Yeah, American Football were a great band, such a shame they split and didn't produce nearly enough stuff.
Collier Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Keep posting around here, we need some more musical-minded people! Ah cheers, I'll listen to pretty much anything (see sig and avatar).
hairy Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Mount Kimbie - Crooks & Lovers Brilliant album, they say the genre is post dubstep
Lillehamring Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 So, how about The Love Language then? I've just recently become aware of this Raleigh-based quartet. They do great, dreamy sound that occasionally borders on J-Pop, a hint of Roy Orbison, then to simply throw you off by walking in the footsteps of the Fleet Foxes - successfully. And let's not forget the wonderful, catchy LL ballads. So, what else does it compare to? A bit like Band Of Horses on weed, with less heavy guitars and a more melodic output, if you ask me. cool. Then there's The Most Serene Republic, who have just come out with a brand-new EP: Pompous, spacey synthesized electro-pop. didn't hear much 'synthesis'? but i like have you heard this band: 'stars'
Collier Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Mount Kimbie are great, seem to be getting more recognised now, probably because dubstep seems to be pushing on a bit. The genre's not really my bag on the whole, do like Zomby and Gold Panda, though.
MikeyT Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Augustana Yep i've heard of Augustana. Usually has songs in theings like Scrubs, One Tree Hill and things like that.
FoxInTheSnow Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 No The, but nonetheless. Excellent debut album. If you are a fan of Grammatics you will want to read this Tweet they posted. "We're releasing an EP called KRUPT, touring it, and then we're splitting up. Read more ... http://mysp.ac/aNuhRh" Well worth clicking the link to see what's going on though. Get involved.

Just bought the Vague Archive 7" and new EP. Will hopefully catch them on tour as well when they get around to it.
MikeyT Posted 22 July 2010 Posted 22 July 2010 Dark Sanctuary and Artesia. Usually into my rock/metal music but the i mentioned is great for just relaxing and chilling out to. Both sort of neoclassical and gothic sounding.
Jay Posted 22 July 2010 Posted 22 July 2010 You've got a shocking deal with those support acts mate! Think Muse should more than make up for it though. especially when the mighty Pulled Apart by Horses are supporting them in Manchester!! would be so worth going to that just to see the look on peoples faces when PABH launch into their set!!
Austin Posted 24 July 2010 Posted 24 July 2010 Austrian death machine ( Basically tribute to Arnie) .. see "GET TO THE CHOPPAH"
Jalwit Posted 26 July 2010 Posted 26 July 2010 The Cat Empire and Yves Klein Blue are two cracking Australian bands that I've got a lot of love for.
Joe. Posted 5 August 2010 Posted 5 August 2010 lcfc30STM, have you heard of Young Guns? Right up your street I'd say from what I can gather, check them out if you haven't already. I personally think they're alright, but one of my mates who loves Lostprophets I recommended them to is well into them at the minute.
