hairy Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Just going to throw a few names out there... The Chapman Family Villagers (high hopes for these) Fionn Regan I have a 7" of theirs, Kids. Sadly lacking in releases but hopefully an LP sometime soon
MC Prussian Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 A little shoegazy, indie-pop, electronica kind of thing:
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 A small band getting a bit of air play now The Jezzables. Saw them as a support act for a solo singer about 12 months ago in a small country pub and had my doubts they would do any good but things are looking up for them.
General Smuts Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 My New Music Spotify Playlist Is what i'm listerning too a lot lately. All new bands some much more well known than others (Chapel Club, Kele, I Blame Coco, Joy Orbison etc) Lemme know what you think.

samjohnson Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Anyone heard of the progressive metal band... Adagio?
MC Prussian Posted 23 June 2010 Posted 23 June 2010 Telekinesis - a Seattle band-of-four, with Michael Benjamin Lerner at the centre of it all. Cheeky, harder rock with a touch of folk. Their debut, "Telekinesis!" sounds like a mixture between Brendan Benson, PUSA, Joel Plaskett and Weezer.
MikeyT Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Keith Merrow. He's an instrumental Metal guitarist. Free downloads of his album and EP on his website too. Highly recommend him if you like your metal music.
Joe. Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Really enjoying some of the stuff Hurts are putting out at the moment.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 US4, short lived American boy band. Quality stuff.
MC Prussian Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 So, how about The Love Language then? I've just recently become aware of this Raleigh-based quartet. They do great, dreamy sound that occasionally borders on J-Pop, a hint of Roy Orbison, then to simply throw you off by walking in the footsteps of the Fleet Foxes - successfully. And let's not forget the wonderful, catchy LL ballads. So, what else does it compare to? A bit like Band Of Horses on weed, with less heavy guitars and a more melodic output, if you ask me.
MC Prussian Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Then there's The Most Serene Republic, who have just come out with a brand-new EP: Pompous, spacey synthesized electro-pop.
StanSP Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 White Rabbits and The Big Pink are supporting Muse when I go to see them in September/ Anyone from here heard them?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 The Big Pink did that Dominos song a while back, that was decent, you'll probably like that, haven't heard anything else from them though: Never been able to get into White Rabbits personally, chap's voice annoys me. Two pretty average support acts tbh.

Two pretty average support acts tbh. Yeah there's those 2, and then there's Lily Allen who I'm looking forward to seeing. My mate picked the wrong date though. If he picked the next day, it would have been Biffy Clyrro and White Lies.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Yeah, deinitely got the wrong date there, big fan of White Lies.
Tilley Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 I have seen The Big Pink twice this year, they are very good as a live act. Well, I have only seen them in small venues so might be different when you see Muse. I bet you've heard this song aswell.
StanSP Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Yeah I presume that playing at a stadium they might sound a bit more different. I'll go with an open mind though so I look forward to seeing both acts. I have heard that song though. Cover or original?
Libertine Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Muse will dick all over both put together so it doesn't really matter.
StanSP Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Muse will dick all over both put together so it doesn't really matter. fooking hope so. Not paying £60 for Muse to be an utter disappointment given what I heard about their last Wembley gig.
Libertine Posted 16 July 2010 Posted 16 July 2010 Well it was rather magnificent. You'll have a ball.
