SamL Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 I live in Market Harborough and over the last few years the number of sports shops seem to be decreasing. We only have a small one called MDH and its stock is very limited. A JJB would be nice. Stop with all the supermarkets please!

Monk Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 Oakham could do with a Starbucks and a Waitrose. Its that kind of place and people would spend more time in town if they had those places

BigGibbo Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 There is not enough weapon shops around for my liking. Arms dealers
BigGibbo Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 Or indeed a very high class restaurant... back in Belgium there were loads everywhere but here since I've come to university, there aren't many good quality restaurants. What you on about there is Maryland chicken, KFC, Pizza hut, Mcdonalds & countless high quality burger vans of a night
Monk Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 I was always a fan of Mario's burger van in Loughborough. Gourmet at 2am. Is there nothing that won't do...
Monk Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 erm... ...Evington....not too far away from Oakham...straight up the A47 and you are there....innit??? I'll give you that its the part of Leicester closest to Rutland, but I wouldn't have classed it as 'close' ha. But not far, indeed.
Trumpet Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 Wouldn't really work on my street. But McDonalds. You have about 2 round the corner! Greedy Barstard! Zingari Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 what we need is a shop where people can buy shops http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=43157
Unit Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Hi guys, hope you could answer this question for me. In your local area, if a new shop was being created, what would you want it to be? I am asking this because i need to know, in leicester, where there is a néiche in the market. So what kind of shop does your local area/community need or what would you like more of....just give a general idea thanks. I live on Hinckley Road near braunstone and my closest shops are the Hinckley Road shops, I don't really think we need much more there, there's newsagents, food shops, off licences, a greengrocers etc, but old John's butcher (really quite a big bloke, was a city fan who died recently) is getting turned into a bar, there's been opposion to this so I can't tell you what people don't want around here. If you're looking for a gap in the market, open a polish deli
