Fox4ever Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 This Megson think stinks to high heaven. His agent Curtis is reported as having been advising Bolton on prospective managers for sometime. It is also reported that Souness walked away after he realise the job was already stitched up. It could be that we have been used as a stepping stone to the Bolton job as Gartside would not want to be seen as employing someone who has been unemployed for eighteen months. Question: Did Curtis know when Megson took the job at LCFC that Sammy was about to get the push?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Who cares to be honest. This is the biggest favour any club has ever done us IMO. Exactly. Best not to delve too deep. If they want to engineer some shady deal to get in a duffer like Megson then let them. Maybe they'll tap up Elvis now. Don't ask any questions.
Fat Ron Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 I'm frustrated that another City manager has come and gone BUT at least this time we have £300k compo. Should we go for another Manager already at a Club its as good as paid for already.

Maybe they'll tap up Elvis now. Don't ask any questions. Megson didn't rate Elvis unfortunately, with any luck he'll wade in with £1million for James Chambers as his star central midfielder though. Shame, as I like him at right back. Ho-hum. Right - time for a teacake. MAVIS!
Finn Claw Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Thoguh megson played negative football I trust him with a cheque book. There is no way he is going to sign any of the city players, none would be good enough for Bolton.
The Reverend Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 who cares really, as has been said weve been done a huge favour by Bolton. The bloke was a twat, simple as.

Leicester_Mad Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 whats the odds on a Leicester Vs Bolton FA Cup 3rd Round game?
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Well, last post today, I just want to say, I'm so happy he's gone. Something to smile about for us Leicester fans at last. No more 3-5-2 (hopefully) no more James Chambers and Sean Newton in midfield, no more 8 defenders on the pitch. No more ginger tosser.* Looking forward to moving on, if not upward, then hopefully somewhere where we score goals from open play will do. No dount we'll appoint a proven duffer like Peter Reid and end up in even more of a sorry mess but for now, I'm very happy. * this may not be true for the Barno game, Burrows and Taggert might implement Megsosns tactics.
ASH17LCFC Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Why is Burrows in charge ? He is gonna fook off to bolton very soon. Taggs will probally leave now, but i doubt Bolton will have him. Taggs was only brought here to give the fans something to cheer.

Not sure if it was Megson or Milan who instigated his move though.

Point is---------------------Did MM know????
Ultra Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Why is Burrows in charge ? He is gonna fook off to bolton very soon. Not according to what he said to Sky Sports News this afternoon...
demon_dog Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Taggs was here as Coach for the Acadamy before moving to First Team coach. Not sure if it was Megson or Milan who instigated his move though. I think it was Mandaric who made Tags first team coach, to appease the fans over the appointment of Megson. Don't think Tags will move on as he loves being at Leicester. Suppose it all depends on who the new manager is.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Who cares to be honest. This is the biggest favour any club has ever done us IMO. I for one bloody well care!!!------------------especially if MM knew. Because if that's the case-we've all been done up like kippers! Quelle surprise????

Taggs wasn't coaching in the academy (U13) for very long if you notice. *Wink* *Hint* He was really able and could handle it though. *wink* *hint* *cough cough cough*
ithuriel Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 of course mm didnt know , megson leaving like this has left him in the mire and with egg on his face. megson must have been lying through his teeth at his interveiw and it makes you wonder about his 6 weeks comment on appointment. then again , good riddance to bad rubbish.
Monk Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Megsons an absolute cock for doing this. I hope he does absolutely shit at Bolton and it ruins his career. BUT I'm glad he's gone.

Megson never had an air of permanence about him. I wouldn't be surprised if he and his agent had planned this scam from day one. But at least the club and fans can move on, and put this episode behind us.

You say "of course MM didn't know"----------------how come then(being a very successfull businessman) he did'nt get "THE GINGER MINGER" to sign a contract then--------That's the FIRST thing you do!!!
Koke Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Bolton have been leaking goals in left, right and centre. With Megson's arrival and his defend-for-your-lives tactics, Bolton might get out of this mess. Unlike us, they do have some quality players up front who knows where the goal is.

Contracts were drawn up, awaiting solicitors approval prior to signing. Does seem strange though. A manager who has not had a job in 18 months, we give him a chance, then another club makes a move for him. Sounds as if it was certainly a stitch up.

Why the surprise if MM had given him a longer contract the chances are he would have gone before Xmas if results hadn't improved anyway. Most fans didn't want him and so he's gone and now its time to move on but can we please have less of this hero worship of Mandaric because so far we've done nothing apart from reach the 4th Round of the Carling Cup and the chances are we'll get a good tanking at the Bridge next week. When we get back to the promise land then we can start lavishing praise on the Guy.
